Talktalk are also doing the same for £17pm, 18m contract with £65 cashback
Not bad at all
If we choose line rental saver option at paying £197.88 upfront, are we still eligible for £50 cashback? If so this would work out cheaper than £14.82 per month.

You wouldn't see that as a bargain if you'd dealt with TalkTalk before, I'm sure.

Their customer service is at least £20pcm handicap when comparing.

Can't argue with that. I once refused free, basic broadband they (TalkTalk) offered me some years ago as they're not known to be reliable where i live & CS not too good either.

I’ve been with them for 3 years before and the only issue I’ve had was fixed near instantly on their forum. They are useless on the phone.
Does quidco cash back work with this offer ?

Thinking to get the 38Mb fibre for £24.99 per month
Unless I have missed something I'm not sure why OP has added a duplicate post of same deal added by them on 7th March as only difference I can see is addition of expiry date??

I have got an optic fibre with Plusnet, can't complain, very reliable line and consistent speed.

You will not get cashback if the Internet provider will give you cashback themselves.
Cold. Plusnet appear to have 2 regions. Unfortunately even in a major UK city they cite we are in region b and think they can charge us 27.99 for this deal. Absolutely ridiculous bearing in mind a few years ago we were able to get the headline deal price! Makes no sense to me!
I've been with Plusnet about 3 plus years and they where fine till I had a problem. Spent an hour on the phone for a fella to tell me it's the router that's broke, which it wasn't. Then had my line disconnected due to an "mistake" and had no internet for a fortnight. They never honoured my new haggled monthly amount that promised me and I had to ring them up about my free month internet for the 2 weeks loss of net I had. Plusnet are great as long as you don't have an issue imho.

As ever with companies, you don't always feel the pain until you have a problem or want to leave them. I thought they were great until I had a problem, then spent months (and hours of time) trying to get huge bills from them canceled even after I'd left them.

I also had to verify my identity using my address from a few years previous, that's how poor their systems were too.

I can only go on my own experience with them, and had no issues leaving in order to get cashback deals with someone else.

I’ve never been impressed with the phone customer service of any of the providers & TalkTalk probably are one of the worst offenders but they do have knowledgeable staff on their forum so would have no issue going back to them.

I'd say you've been lucky tbh, which is fair enough.

Some of the horrors I went through was them trying to charge me in advanced for a months package that proceeded the contract expiry date (as part of the cancellation 'agreement') and charging £80 for the standard (not a record box) YouView box until I returned it...at which point they'd refund me the £100+ of "upfront" charges with around "6 weeks". This was at the end of November (couple of years ago), so knocking on the doorstep of Christmas.

Considering it took me 4 years to get back £30 they owed me on the previous contract, I wasn't too impressed. I called up and spoke to a manager in Bangalore who removed the charges, only to get a bill in January (2 months after cancellation) with the charges back on - still trying to bill me for a box I'd sent back and a month's usage when I wasn't even their customer.

I've not heard any of these horror stories with PlusNet, but when I was a happy TalkTalk-er and recommended them to others, I felt embarrased by the hassle they had with purely getting switched over to them.

I got Quidco cash back with BT deal
The Sky deal seemed better which I took last month and now my ethernet connection doesn't work with the sky hub. Kind of wish I'd stuck with plusnet :'(
