Latest Plusnet unlimited fibre deal offers 38-40Mb for 18 months for £5 per month (for the full term of the contract, none of this reduced rate for the first 6 months malarky!)

£5 per month for 18 months

£17.99 line rental (less if you pay the line rentral saver - 12m upfront)

£6.99 delivery of the 'free router'

No setup fee (waived £50 activation cost)

Adds up to £420.81

Call plans are additional, starting at £4/mth for Evenings and Weekends

--------------

I'm an existing ADSL customer, mid-contract. Typically, they can't offer me the above as it's for new customers only (grrr!) - They could only offer me £8.50/mth, apparently.

Seems a good deal, pity I just took out a contract with BT

why the cold vote?

Lot of negative reviews about Plusnet.......apparently not as good as they used to be.

I think my Infinity 2 is worth every penny. 66mb download, 18mb upload, never dropped out....good wifi.

Just recontracted for £17.50 per month..... I was offered Infinity 1 for a tenner.

Plusnet have properly screwed me over with a recent house move. Won't go into it, but total and unbelievable incompetence from them on multiple occasions. Will be considering leaving if they don't sort it out soon.

If you manage to get out of contract then let me know how, been trying for 2 months solid..

Voted hot for the deal, free activation is a big boost and you can also get £10 quidco on this or was it TCB. SSE'S deal is probably better but heard plenty of bad reviews about them. Vodafone's is compatible if you are an existing customer.

BT Infiity & Quidco & Mastercard CB & free installation (especially if you've no current line) much better deal at the moment.

Plusnet are playing games with billing etc, not good, think they cut off my broadband out of spite when i told them i was moving to BT... sad...

But Plusnet are owned by BT...

Because their customer service is shocking

I have no complaints about plusnet, had them until a month ago.

However I got a 12 month contract with sky, same speed and its only 20 a month all in.

ok as the op said, they don't give a carp about existing customers, so why would anyone sign up to them.

Yes, but still managed to leave me without broadband for weeks, pretty sure they sure they put a cancellation through meaning BT couldn't take over the broadband.. So then had to wait for the next available cable date.

Terrible customer service!

Terrible customer service!

I'm so glad they do other people "proud"
Two more brain cells and they'd be cabbages!

avoid plus net... had it for 4 months now (fibre) and there isn't much difference between sky broadband plus it drops out on occasions.

I'm still tempted by this at the slightly higher price because I'm tied to Plusnet for another 18months at almost the same price anyway, so for a tiny bit more and double the speed... They were a bit sneaky tying us in when we moved house as a means to waive the moving fees, and activation fees as the line wasn't on BT.

I switched to plus net - terrible service and I lost out so I switched back to sky

Have this for now about 4 months. Yes, it was a pain in the ass to even have it installed. It is an all night story if anyone interested. After a week I had terrible connection and drop outs. Requested a new modem, got it in 3 days. Because of the hassle got another 2 months half price service. (6 months included in the contract) Since then, I have no other complaints. Usually, have 9ms ping and about 55Mbps instead of 40.

Unfortunately no Quidco atm just for business deals, My 70 already been paid out. Cheers

im with bt and for infinity 1 they want £50 a month with anytime alls or £40 for infinity 2 with 24 mts contract , so told em to *off , which fibre do people recommend

plusnet home hub 1 does not work with chromecast audio.
keeps rebooting. no matter what settings. got second home hub one from plusnet, same problems.
im on £22.99 deal for 18 months. £5 broadband with £17.99 line rental.

workaround:
had to use old netgear router. set home home one up as switch with power plug connection from upstairs to downstairs. have netgear 2.4 ghz upstairs with seperate fibre modem at master socket and 5ghz with home hub 1 downstairs.

What about this?

I believe the Plusnet Hub 1 is the same as the BT Homehub 4 or 5 (just a different colour), so this link might be relevant.
