HOT!!!!!

Take note - a slow write speed. I wish some of the faster sticks would come down in price.

Writing 32gig at 8mb/s will take days

68 Minutes, which is just over an hour, which isn't really days is it.

I'm crap at maths but here's the logic >

1024MB (1GB) / 8MB/s = 128 seconds

128 * 32 = 4096 seconds

4096 / 60 = 68.27 minutes.

This will vary due to number of files and file sizes, but I don't estimate it to be anywhere near days.

maybe not days but a long time!!

although ideal for small files to keep on the fly

To be honest these deals are starting to bore me, all flash drives are halfed in prize, 16gb's for £8, 8gb's for £4, so a 32gb for £16 is nothing special, plus these write speeds are terrible, agree that it doesn't take forever, but still a ridiculous amount of time, the more we buy stupid deals like this, the more they'll produce these cheap slow bits of tat! A flash drive is meant to be a backup device for quick and easy access to your necessary files, you can't use this for anything in a hurry, apart from throwing it in the bin!

/rant over.

The spec. says up to 8mb/s, so at I guess it's no where near that speed in day to day use.

Agreed.

I could do with some more space... So what's the best 32GB stick under £25?

Play.com do a 32GB stick for £14.99 - Sandisk is the brand

MSPreacher

Agreed.

But most peoples files they will be saving or loading will not be 32gb in size, more likely a few hundred meg or even a 1gb or 2. In that case it will not take so long, and as a result the drive is of course worth more than throwing in the bin.
