The cheapest 256GB USB stick I've seen in a while, the other 'own brand' or less well known brands tend to hover around around 55-60 pounds, with the branded stuff north of 65 pounds. This drive is £62 on Amazon at the moment.

PNY is branded, and I like the 'capless' design. Ryman also offers free next day delivery on spends above 40 quid, and you can have it sent to a store if you'd rather collect.

I bought this in February 2017 for £62 and it has been faultless.
£45.51 for Lexar S75 at BT Shop... cheaper and much faster
Maybe a good price but... REMEMBER TO BACK-UP !!!! These things are notorious for becoming damaged or corrupt.

Good advice but I imagine most people just use them for transporting things quickly not long-term storage. Hope not anyway!

As an IT support technician in a previous life I learnt a few things... in the case of looking after important files, for example using portable media only to transport them, not as their permanent and only storage place, common sense is not as common as you'd think !

I have that T-shirt as well... the number of 'backup portable hard disks' people bring me that have years of photos that are stored nowhere else is unbelievable, and I literally have no idea why when Google Photos does free storage if you enable compression (which has shown to be nearly imperceptible) as well as many others that may be easier to use but still cheap. Common sense is definitely lacking when it comes to these magic boxes of PCs and removable storage...
