It may be the best 2GB DDR2 ram deal at the moment and both of the PC6400 and PC5300 are avaliable at the same price.

Kingston is great but I am not quite sure how good these ValueRAMs compare to standard kingston Ram? Any compromising?

anyone know of any good deals on the same memory but for laptops. 200pin

I had them - 2x2gb (quimonda chips) in my previous rig - cool,reliable...and quite overclockable - mine were running at 933mhz with 6-6-6-18 - cl1 and standard voltage

which one would you recommend ?

Slightly off topic but Crucial recommend: 4GB, 204-pin SODIMM, DDR3 PC3-1060 for my system x2 as 8GB max.

I don't understand the do-dimmm, pc3 1060 etc. Will this be my best bet?

can i use this to upgrade my netbook? dell mini 1018. thanks

No, this is for desktop.

You need 200pin RAM for laptop.

You may want to get one of these:

offtek.co.uk/ddr…400

Typical, I upgraded with four DDR2 2GB modules last week. Only paid a little more through 7DayShop on the bay but hotted as this is a good deal for older systems.

you need DDR3 SDRAM

hot deal! i had play send me the 2gb pc6400 by mistake and they were priced at £70+ at the time, sold it on ebay made £55 after fees, but just had a look now on ebay theres too much competition on these items and no where near being sold at £30+, looks like the ones i need are still the higher price

chillking

you need DDR3 SDRAM

did you mean DDR3 SODIMM? correct me if i am wrong
something like this amazon.co.uk/dp/…034?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&tag=****&linkCode=asn&creative=22206&creativeASIN=B002ZME33Q

most ppl just drop the SDRAM at eh end of ddr3

Any idea of the Latency Timings on the PC6400 240pin DIMMs?

No idea, but its going to be quicker than having to fetch from hard disk if you are low on memory. I am assuming CL6. £34 for 2x2Gb of 6400 is pretty good IMO.

good for gaming?

It's been the most popular memory in gaming for the last 5 years as far as I can remember. I got 8th of pc6400 in my rig right now

The only reason u wouldn't be getting this is if u have a DDR3 motherboard

the ram has two gaps at the bottom (excuse the basic detail) anyone know if that means its ddr2?

One way is CPU-Z (or another info util). The Memory most likely has a sticker on saying what it is. If not compare it with the memory on here DDR Wiki

If your system is 3 years old its most likely DDR2 though

Thanks 118luke i shall check out that cpu-z or search for a sticker..cheers mate

Really surprised that the memory arrived in a cardboard cover - with no antistatic case or film! Havent tried it yet to see if it works. Well see..
