Looking for a new mattress at the moment and currently 3 weeks into a Simba mattress trial and its going back. Too firm for us, both of us not having deep sleeps. I know they say give it 30 days but not sure any of the other mattress in a boxes will be any good either?

As a Costco member I spotted this in their new leaflet. A Pocket Spring Company Pemberley King Size Mattress (other sizes available) for £599.99 from the 19th March to 1st April. Currently £839.89 at Costco and I looked on the manufacturers own website and the King Size is £1,199 so looks a great deal.

shop.pocketspringbed.co.uk/mat…tml

Anyone tried this companies mattresses before? Look very well made with cashmere, silk and lambswool used inside and it has 2800 pocket springs. Sounds ideal but reviews scarce on the web and always wary of buying before you try.

That said Costco's returns policy is second to none.

That looks amazing. Can't afford, but I want it.
I am not downvoting your post, but it is not as spectacular as it might seem - It looks very nice, and a good price, but a bed of this sort of category can be had for near enough this sort of money elsewhere - I am thinking of a new mattress in the near future so thought I would do a quick comparison, and even though I spent little time time looking, quickly saw this for £565 delivered; Double size with even higher spring count - 4000 pocket springs, has similar fillings spec, mattressman.co.uk/mat…spx a slightly higher spec with longer warranty I saw on the same site for £609
Thanks OP, it does not suit my pocket though.
'So soft beds' has better beds and beter prices..i recently got a double at 400! And cant fault it in anyway..mine is an ottonan bed..more storage.
anyone got any thoughts on the other costco mattresses that are on offer at the moment costco.co.uk/Fur…015

I'm going to either go with the geltex one or the Pocket Spring Company Pemberley when i goes on offer Monday.

i appreciate the other post but i really like costco's after sales. its second to none. EG took in a pair of glasses i'd bought over 2 years ago that i knocked of my head to see if they could repair them as one of the lenses had came out. these were semi rimless so needed more than simply putting back in place as they were broken. The sent them off, fixed them and did some other minor fixes like re tightening the screws etc - no charge.

Hi - I have ordered the GELTEX super king 1850 for under £600.....bargain as everywhere else selling for near £800-£1000! Have also heard great things about costco after care, even when people have owned a mattress for 10 months, not been happy, talked to Costco....and either got alternative or refund (under their customer satisfaction guarantee, I guess) - mine is delivered next week.

PS - to the OP, don't bother trying any other "mattress in a box" styles, as we tried both LEESA and CASPER.....both not great and didn't suit us.

i have gone with the Geltex as well from costco - if its not great i can always get them to take it back and try the Pocket Spring Company Pemberley model. I've been a costco member since 1999 and use it regularly. Fantastic service and generally good prices, although not always the cheapest.

I think a lot of those are clever marketing and you'd imagine a lot of them made in the same factory just boxed differently. Geltext one is other consideration although can't turn over so may not last as long and seem some bad reports of it sagging in the middle. Obviously many more better reviews also.

Thanks for that, have found that one for £575 King here: bishopsbeds.co.uk/sho…ess although to be fair the one I posted does look a bit more luxury than that one with higher RRP and did watch a video saying that having more springs isn't always a good thing.

That spring count is based on the 5' mattress
When You see a spring count for a bed it is nearly always based on a 5'

This info is correct
People get fixated with how many springs are inside a mattress
When buying a bed the most important thing is - is the bed is right for you - comfortable
Remember a 3rd of Your life will be spent in a bed
Its always best to go to a shop and try similar beds to the one you have Your eye on if buying over the internet as it could turn out to be an expensive mistake.

Shame there is no single size.

It IS always based on the count in a 5" bed, so you can directly compare even with single size..

With a pocket sprung bed it really does matter... I am staying fixated! I personally prefer those with single layer of springs though, but preferably at least 1400, others might prefer the double layered ones..

I wouldn't even begin to compare other types of beds with each other because they are so different - if you have one sleeper in the bed who is a restless sleeper ONLY pocket sprung works regardless of the other features! Tried foam and dunlopillo and it's still has to be pocket sprung in this case. (or twin beds!) You need to decide what the no.1 factor is before you look at different types, and for me Pocket sprung is VITAL and comes before all other issues.

With a single bed that is not one of the features that matters nearly so much.

Memory Foam beds are hot. Period, So called "cool" types aren't when compared to other types of bed! I have tried a few owned by other people:-(

Easy to try beds out in shops... then you buy them significantly cheaper on the Internet!

Good price, as I mentioned though it was just a quick look on just one site. Proves the point it is worth looking though.

Referring to John Ryan here due to the possible juxtaposition arising. I’ll keep on topic next time.
Anyone been in to Costco recently? Will there be a chance to actually lie on one of these special offer mattresses ?
Thanks
Went yesterday, they are not on sale until the 19th but says online only so presuming not inshore also so bit of a gamble buying without trying.
Oh. Shame. I am currently testing a simba.... Hate it.
Tested some amazing sealey box top mattresses at the weekend..... But £1400 to £1600 for mattress only.... Too much for me.

P. S. Best villa performance I have watched for about 4 seasons on Saturday !!! Get in
