What does weight have to do with it? its on the floor... you dont carry it …What does weight have to do with it? its on the floor... you dont carry it around everywhere you go... its XL, if you like a good kip you get something like this... if you want a light one thats paper thing and you feel everything on the floor you get a cheap one.

Pretty weak line of logic there: follow that through and you end up with:
'if you like a good kip , get a bed' because
- 'what does weight have to do with it'
- 'you don't carry it around everywhere you go'
Terrible customer service at millets.
They took 10 days to send my order and did not send the sleeping bag in the order and they didn’t let me know it was out of stock, missed out on camping on the bank holiday weekend. Poor service

What a remarkable comment!!

It's not one the floor in your house tho is it.

You have carried it somewhere, often on foot over big hills/mountains. Of course weight matters

Eh, lighter ones are more expensive m8. It generally costs more to create something that provides the same effect but weighs less while doing so - case in point, literally any camping/hiking gear or clothes.

I had a similar experience using them recently, they always used to be a pretty good company but seem to have gone badly down hill...

Weren't they bought over by somebody pretty awful a few years back? Might have been JD Sports or similar. I wouldn't go near them these days.
Isn't 2.5 kgs a bit too heavy for a sleeping bag?

If this is a sleeping bag, it surprises me how little you know about the purpose of one.

Yes. But, don't you think the person buying a plus sized sleeping bag is more likely to be driving to a camp site, than hiking up mountains and wild camping?

Good for camping when driving to camp site, for actual trekking I strongly recommend buying goose down sleeping bag.
I brought one of these for camping 5 years ago from GO_Outdoors and as was mentioned this is not an item you can/want to be carrying on a Trek as it is miles too big when packed.

If you are going to a campsite this is definitely worth the investment as it keeps you very warm and the additional width allows for a lot of movement when the bag is zipped up and there is a storage pocket inside for phones/watches etc.

There was a 2 season bag they do which is cheaper and I brought for my wife but it is nowhere as good as this one.
No mention of comfort temperature rating, so I'd avoid. For 3 season in the UK you generally want something comfort rated in the -1 to -3 bracket.

There was an impressive amount of wrongness in that comment!

They also failed to mention that, because it's blue it must be really cold.

Don't buy anything that's filled with goose down. The animals are treated even worse than the ones farmed for meat. Plucked alive so that the down regrows multiple times.
Looks great. Ordered.

Get the Sherpas to carry all your hiking gear?
If you want a cosy bag and pack size/weight isn't an issue then these are a much better buy activeoutlet.co.uk/cam…bag
Let's be honest most of you are going to drive to a sit, park next to where you camp. 2.5kg over a distance of a few meters is not going to burst any blood vessels.

edit: most like myself arent even going to buy it or use it. but can't resist writing something.

Good to know; but what synthetic materials gives a goose like performance? I find goose is far better for duvets as its asorbs some moisture overnight whereas synthetic materials tend not to.

It's a car camping sleeping bag. No one would buy it for personal carry. It was never intended for that market. My kids have a couple of them for when we go on caravan holidays but they also have a couple of smaller lighter bags for going on scout camps. Different bags for different jobs and to be fair most people car camp rather than stick everything in a rucksack.
I had a trespass oversized one but switched to proper pillows and duvets on my last "car camping" trip. Very comfy if you have the room in your car but let's face it camping is not really about comfort or we wouldn't do it
Be careful with oversized sleeping bags more air to warm you get colder
For outsized occupants I presume .....

You need a Slanket / TV blanket. Basically a blanket with sleeves. They're very comfy.
Sadly oos
