For fellow collectors: I got my Gold and Silver from Tesco Direct, and the boxes were crushed in transit owing to inadequate packaging. Obviously not relevant for everyone, just a warning for collectors.

Yeah I had the same with my NES mini, they just stick things in bags and not boxes, won't use Tesco again for things like this, would much rather pay amazon 99p more and know it'll reach you undamaged.

Very relevant for everyone I'd say, as the box is the product! Else people would just buy the game from the eShop
Now this is what I got a New 3DS XL for!

(I'm only half joking...)
I hope they dont leave the box crushed but opening it for the code kinda ruins the value anyway and do the codes not maybe expire for the sake of collecting? Could just end up buying a box with an obsolete code as a collector if you dont redeem.? Or am i being ignorant here? I collect books etc and figurines and care about its integrity, but a digital game i wouldn't be.
Nostalgia ain't what it used to be!

One of my favourite game growing up. So much good memories on this. Literally best Pokemon game ever. However it was one of the easiest ones.

Cool time fighting Red in the cave at the end

Gold and Silver didn't come sealed, the box can be carefully opened without damaging it Don't know if there was an expiry date for the codes
*There is no apparent expiry date for the code

My kids both have the new Pokemon games on there (sun/moon or something similar), yea the graphics are much better and apparently they are good games but I would still rather play Pokemon Blue catch myself a rattata and a pidgey and off you go, never tried crystal but for this price I may have a dabble, will need to ban a child off his 3ds for a few weeks while I play
Nice find Op

Bruh... nostalgia is nostalgia. If they had completely redone it.... I wouldnt be happy. If its great... leave it alone and then we can take with on one console we are already using, instead of that brick of a game card.
