Good price I believe, works out £7.25 each if you buy two.

Another option is TheGameCollection where you can have them for £7.95 each.

Memories. Loved the 'gameboy' branding on the side.

A code that comes in a box.
Unsure why you would want 2 when they are all the same game with a few different pokemon. Best to just order crystal which is both sets together.
is there any company other than Nintendo who could box up a code and sell it? Almost trolling at this point.

Unless you are a collector and like to display boxes...

Well... not in a box, no. I should probably have stipulated console manufacturer.

They ruined these boxes though. There is an ugly bit at the bottom that says "download code no game card is included" along with some other crap. I was really disappointed
These games were the best things around when i was a kid, very large game for a gameboy, it had 2 leagues ffs!!!!! and so many legendaries

Yeah great if you collect boxes rather than games

I collect both, for nostalgia I think the boxes are great, each to their own though

Trolling? Where's the malice?
It's presentation. These boxes with their lovely artwork (see above case in point) make much nicer gifts. And gifts are especially important when giving games to children, as would make sense with Pokémon.
Your conclusion is to call out Nintendo as if it were a mistake, but I couldn't disagree more. Unwrapping presents is priceless, just recall the Nintendo 64 kid.
