Not for everyone, but this is the cheapest I have found this edition, works out at £40 each but with that nice gold steelbook.

Ordered mine five minutes ago and available to collect when my local store opens at 9am.

let those who pre ordered it like I
did know that if they use live chat on the Argos app or call customer
services directly they can get the 79 price honored for the original 99
pre order price. I have just recently successfully done this. Argos said
it will take 3-5 working days to adjust on my Argos bill. Just wanted
to share with you so it can help as many members as possible who pre
ordered save money too especially in the run up to Christmas

Get ready to discover Galar, an expansive region with diverse environments. The people and Pokemon who live here work together closely to develop the industries within it. The Wild Area is a vast expanse of land in the Galar region with untamed wilderness. While in the Wild Area, players can control the camera to explore the vast areas around them and search for Pokemon and items. Trainers will find a greater variety of Pokemon living in the Wild Area than anywhere else in the Galar region.

Max Raid Battles are a new battle format that takes place in the Wild Area, in which the player will team up with three other Trainers to take on a wild Dynamax Pokemon. Trainers will then get a chance to catch the wild Dynamax Pokemon if they manage to defeat it – but it won't go down easily. Dynamax is a phenomenon unique to specific locations in the Galar region, where Pokemon can take on gigantic appearances during battle, and it's an integral part of Pokemon battles in the region.

All the moves of a Dynamax Pokemon will turn into special Max Moves! The Legendary Pokemon Zacian and Zamazenta are shrouded in mystery and are unknown even to those who live in the Galar region. The Dual Edition includes Pokemon Sword, Pokemon Shield, and the exclusive Golden Dual Game Card Steelbook (final design may vary).

This is good even if you only want one of the games, as CeX give £40 cash for either at the moment. That way you get the gold steelbook and game of choice for £40

Hi

Does this game use the pokeball add-on or is it more like the older Gameboy games? Wanting to get them for my son's 5&7, would it be suitable.

Thanks internet stranger, sorry for the random question, if I Google it just tells me how great or average the game is not really clear on what type of game it is.

The pokeball plus can be used to store your Pokémon and walk with in the real world. Your Pokémon will collect items for you that you transfer into the game. You can't control the game with it like you could on let's go
The game isn’t controlled with the poke ball in this addition, but you can take your Pokemon out for a walk by transferring them to the ball from the game (they’ll find items, no exp gain)

They’ll be controlled by using more of a traditional feeling, moveable camera etc (think breath of the wild controls)

Thank you. Does that mean it's the same kind of game as let's go?

From reviews it does indeed use it, but not in the same way as it does in Let’s Go! games. I believe it can be use to assign Pokemon to the PokeBall+ and can be carried around to gain XP, but not useable to catch pokemon as it’s the usual RPG battle system so unsure how it would work.

Hope that helps!

Also saw some Un-boxing’s and the statue compared to the promo pictures looks like a tiny cheap plastic thing and not worth the extra money, but at this price for both games, you’re saving a minimum of £15-20 compared to buying separately (unless you got the pre-order deal from Smyths or any of the eBay discounts leading up to release)
Damn this is a great price. Wish I waited, that was the one bundle I wanted!
It’s different, you can actually battle wild Pokemon this time instead of just throwing a ball at the screen

Has an open world area, different gimmick called dynamax, it’s just like the older Pokemon games red/black/sun etc
Just ordered this
Can anyone tell me if it comes with the preorder figurine?
Can't really fathom buying the same game twice. It's insane
Does anyone know if this contains the Dynamax crystal DLC?

you don’t get the tracksuit from Argos, one of their staff said so on their Q&As
Seems out of stock in most areas. For people that missed but still want it, it seems Smyths have a few for pickup still, but £95 smythstoys.com/uk/…704

I assume you need 2 codes,at least Game sent 2 with my preorder.
I would have to drive hours away, to get this. Oh well, great price if in the right place.
25min drive away but I had my £6 voucher from last month and £17.50 of nectar points so can't complain at £56.49 for both games! Thanks OP

Don't mind travelling there, which store is that
Thanks for posting op. Managed to pick one up this morning!
Thanks OP, I pre ordered this when it was 99. Used Argos live chat in app customer services and they said the price adjustment would be honored. Meaning saving 20 odd quid! :-) Will be adjusted on my Argos card within 3-5 working days I was told.

So if anyone has pre ordered this use Argos live chat service via App or call customer services asking for the price adjustment to be honored.

Shouldn't punish people for pre ordering this.

Have some heat OP!

Read my comment above, use live chat service in app or call customer services asking to honor price adjustment for your pre order. I did and was told by the colleague it would change to 79 instead of 99 on my Argos card app in 3/5 working days.

Don't pay 99, they shouldn't charge more for those who pre ordered it!
London showing stocks in four to five days now
