Pokemon games always hold their value really well, and given the Steelbook physical copy is £42.85 at Shopto, I'd strongly advise against going digital on this, as the Switch only has 32GB of storage space (excluding any MicroSd storage) and the sell on value really makes going digital on this, at this price, a little crazy.

In my opinion

I hear you 100% but on the other hand, Pokemon is a perfect game to always have on your hd
I need to know what the game exclusives are as if they make the two different enough I’m tempted to get one digital and one physical

Don’t be upset if other people choose to buy digital. Just means they don’t intend to re-sell. I do it a lot with Nintendo first party games.

I'm not upset, just saying physical makes so much sense when the Switch has limited storage space, and the physical copy is literally a couple of quid more.

Storage isn’t an issue. Games are only around 6 or 7Gb and a 128Gb card costs less than £20.

But for those game sharing digital makes 100% more sense.

What do you mean by game sharing?

Putting the game on two consoles and playing it together. If me and the wife want to do that physical it’s a case of buying two copies of a game. But if I have a digital copy, we can both play it together at the same time for just one entry price.

If you have two switch consoles in your household it’s digital is definitely the more sensible way to go.
he has a fair point about resale value, i like having it ready to go on digital though so it was a toughy until i just brought something off groupon and turns out i have a £10 tesco voucher from months ago. guess i will be buying it from there
PSA - I don’t think anyone who uses the site is unaware of physical resale value. People have good reasons for buying digital.

I have only read one good reason (game sharing)

Unless you are a die hard fan planning to "catch em all" physical makes much more sense considering you will prob get 75% of your money back.

No need to be upset about other people buying digital. I’m not here to convince you. Every Joe jumping on digital deals to spread the word about re-sale value like they are educating anyone is just very boring.

75% cash back in the first week more like it then it starts dropping in increments for most games. Then the cheaper the game is the more trade in value you lose
That's a whole £1.14 saving! This... This is why I joined HUKD

That's why I aim to finish them asap....usually costs me no more than £8 for 2 weeks of a new release I know I wont play again once I am finished with it.

Doom 2015 cost me £32.50 to preorder and cex gave me £35 a week later so it was nice to kinda be paid to play a great game but that was an exception.
I've got a physical preorder of Shield and I'm kind of tempted to get a digital copy of Sword because I'm a huge Pokénerd and I know I'll play both to death, but I've got a sneaking suspicious that there will be a sequel title (Pokémon Armour maybe?) that will likely be more appealing as a second game for me.

Also good when you can gain more or get your money your back. Though is based on gamers who have time to play games straight and quick

I remember GAME first opening. They offered a 7 unsatifacted return policy. Use to complete games then return them for another new release

Not the case for core Nintendo Games. You'll still get 75% back on a Pokémon game 5 years after release.
"Please note that digital codes will be provided on the morning of the release date" so no preloading and playing from midnight or quickly starting it the next day

You need to click on "Account" in Shopto while logged in and then click on "Digital Items", your download code will be there.
