The Adventure movie turns into action with the appearance of Mewtwo, a lab Pokémon created with Mew's DNA, one of the rarest Pokémon ever. After escaping from the lab, Mewtwo is determined to prove his superiority: he invites the best Trainers to a matchless Pokémon battle, and of course Ash and his friends are thrilled to take on the challenge.

Ash's enthusiasm turns to anger when Mewtwo decides to clone the children's Pokémon and restore the balance between the Pokémon and their Trainers. Despite Ash, Mewtwo refuses to believe that Pokémon and humans can be friends. But faced with a young Trainer and the loyalty of his Pokémon, Mewtwo will have to change his plan and face the power of the mysterious Mew!

Heat added, watched this film as a kid and now as a adult and the ending still tears me up...nostalgic..brings back fond memories when the only thing you were concerned about as a kid during then, was to have the best Pokemon cards...

My boy has just turned 3. He's pokemon obsessed. We can't talk about anything that isn't pokemon. He knows the original 151 plus some more of the others. I have the pokemon TV app on the firestick and this film hasn't previously been available. Paid £7 for it on Google Play a few days ago. Put the pokemon TV app on and saw it on there. Couldn't believe it 😡

I remember getting this film on VHS for Christmas with a shiny Mewtwo card included!

Is the little short also part of the stream? I think it was about Pokémon going to the beach?

I still have the DVD and soundtrack tucked away somewhere, it feels like only yesterday 8 year old me was dancing around to 'vacation' with my toy Pikachu! They were simpler times (edited)

I've still got mine, there were a few to collect but when we went for a second watching I got the same card (Dragonite) so I just gave the spare to a friend IIRC.
