Why are people are bothered by the graphics. What did they expect when they brought a switch?
    Avatar
Because it's a full-price game from the highest-grossing media franchise of all time. Other 1st and 2nd party AAA games look good on the Switch

I tried to get currys to price match Scarlet. They said they can price match Monster Shop, but the price matching system is broken so ive to order then come back when its fixed. By which point monster shop will have probably changed their price and currys will tell me to go away.

"You wont find it cheaper, unless you do, then we'll tell you our system is 'broken'"

Game is plagued with technical issues. Game freak don’t deserve your money for this mess. Buy if they patch and fix it is my advice.

It may have low FPS and poor textures but the game is fantastic

I hear quite a few are requested refunds for this game due to it being unplayable. It might drop more before Christmas!

It's not unplayable it's a fantastic game with crappy textures and FPS drops

Amazing game! They really did well with this one! Yes has few issues here and there but the story, flow of the campaigns, end game! Best game since X Y in eyes. Don't listen to the reviews most of them never got past the school to enjoy the game to its fullest

I've been having fun in Violet. When I first started playing I could really notice the performance issues, but after a little while I stopped noticing it. My only issue with it now is that they didn't include the catching from Arceus where you didn't need to enter a battle first

My son is 7. He has played Violet loads and loves it.

Number of mentions of slow frame rates, stop motion animation, load times, glitches, poor textures and so on?

    Zero.

Doesn't make it okay for a buggy game, but kids don't care. They enjoy the game. And tbf, it's a relatively good formula but I found it exceptionally easy to finish, as did my son. 6 and 7 star raids are more intriguing though

A bit off topic but I'm hoping to pick up a Switch today. The most rcent Pokemon game I've played is Gold on the gameboy and I'm sure the gameplay has evolved (no pun intended) a bit since then.
Is there a specific pokemon game for the Switch that is most suited to beginners or are they all much the same?
    Avatar
They are all good games but they have a young target audience. The let’s go pikachu/eevee games are for youngest/ beginner. Generally all Pokémon games are easy to pick up and play, the new game has a long introduction explaining the mechanics and Pokémon games don’t have much penalty on death/failure. So you don’t really get punished at all. If you are an adult gamer just get the latest. It’s got more depth than the others. Sword and shied were good too but more linear world.

I've not ordered from monster shop before, how are they?

They are fine, ordered a couple times from them without issues. Terrible website though.
