Pokkén Tournament DX (Switch Version) + Pokkén Tournament Pro Pad Controller + A2 Poster - £59.99 From Nintendo Store

Quite a good price for everything in one go.

The game & poster are £49.99 on the Nintendo store alone, so £10 for the controller seems pretty good.

Free delivery, as over £20.

Wait...this is Pokemon right?

Basically Pokemon vs Tekken, but without the blood.

Think of if they made a Tekken lite but with Pokemon, then you have Pokken Tournament. It was originally on the Wii U if you want to look up footage.

how does the pad plug into the switch?

facepalm

When you consider that most places probably wont be selling the game for 50, it probably detracts from the "deal" somewhat.

The pad won't make you magically better at the game and it will doubtless have a pathetically short cable length like most Nintendo peripherals that aren't wireless.

Anybody know if this pad should be compatible with a certain Raspberry Pi 3/RetroPie setup?

More like £40

This isn't a new controller, it was released for the Wii U originally

dont forget Quidco!!

I would be tempted if not for the fact you can't use two of these at the same time and it only works for player 1 and only with Pokken. Cheaper than buying an actual Pro Controller if Pokken is your game but a cable could be annoying for some. Also pad is £16,54 on Amazon and Game can be had for £42 so essentially you get a poster for around £1.50 with this deal. Not bad.

This isn't the case on the Switch. The Pokken Pad works with any game that has enough buttons for it.
I've been using it with Mighty Gunvolt Burst and Pokken doesn't have the whole "one person needs to look at another screen" issue the first version had.

That's good to know but contrary to what Nintendo states.

"Please note the controller is only compatible with Pokkén Tournament DX (Switch) and Pokkén Tournament (Wii U) and will not function properly with other game titles. Please note that the Pokkén Tournament Pro Pad Controller can only be used when the Nintendo Switch console is in TV mode, and only one controller can be used per console."

Yeah it seemed to be an unintentional side effect of their 3.0 update that let you use the Pro Controller wired while in docked mode.

It works great though

Voted cold, gonna see if they just grave rob the Wii U and vote cold on all those too.
Yes I am a lot of fun at parties, thanks for asking.

"...will not function properly with other game titles." Because of lack of buttons and analogue sticks. Doesn't mean it won't work at all. Great with Ultra Street fighter 2!

'Pathetically short'?.....

Hmmkay .

It actually has a very long cable so you can sit a fair distance away, and you can even use generic extension USB cables for added hilarity. It also works wonderfully on PC and raspberry pi (good SNES controller alternative). The face buttons also feel great to press.

Its a niche controller, yes, but its not a bad controller.

But I do agree, the pad won't really make you better! Though as with any Nintendo game (especially this one with Pokemon in!), I expect this to unfortunately cling to its retail price a bit too tightly. I hope I'm wrong
