About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
With the relatively close release of Pokken Tournament (March 18th) I thought that now would be a good opportunity to start posting the best pre-orders currently available. This game is currently listed at £39.99 on Amazon.
This is a "unique" fighting game starring Pokemon, it could possibly be a sleeper hit due to the relatively quiet build up it's had compared to the popularity that Pokemon still has to this day.

sorted byJust because it doesn't appeal to you doesn't detract from the fact that this is currently the cheapest option for purchasing this game. Therefore it is a good deal until something betters it. Simple.
Get over yourself
Yes and No, its made by the dev and directors but not necessarily the same team considering there working on Tekken 7. Also the game runs off the Tekken Tag 2 engine, rather than Unreal 4 which is what Tekken 7 runs in, which makes it even more unlikely the same dev team is developing both titles at the same time for console.
Also the game removes the 3 tier hit system, no High, Med, Low hits, no overheads or sweeps, everything no matter the hit box hits mid. So its extremely watered down in terms of fighting games.
When Gamer_U says Amazon credit, he's probably talking about Amazon vouchers. Also there's been an offer of £7 credit when buying a £30 Voucher from them.
What a moron.
Congratulations on your review having never played the game. I look forward to your review of Forza 7 before it comes out.
That being said its now a headline game for Evo '16 after some apparent promotion deal.
Not to mention its designed controller doesn't function on the player one side
Heat for the price though

I asked Hori's rep via email what made the Pokken controller so much better than any other out there and his answer was "it's the intended way of playing Pokken as if you were at the arcades". Meh, don't really care about that, I prefer to play with a comfortable controller and for that I'll pick the Wii U Pro Controller (or maybe Gioteck GC-2).
For anyone who's not seen it:
It looks like it'd be great for retro games considering the controller only has a D-PAD.
It's not bad at all, in fact it'll be pretty awesome. A fighting game developed by the Tekken team about Pokémons? Count me in!
Yeah, that. I also refer to the Amazon vouchers as Amazon credit when chatting with an Amazon rep to refund the price difference on a product.
"Amazon credit" sounds better than "Amazon vouchers". X)
I assume that once you tap the card on the GamePad's NFC reader the character will become unlocked permanently or instead, you could play the game and it'd be unlocked (more challenging) anyway.
Pokemon + Tekken = POKKEN

He was joking, hence the caps. The whooosh is the sound of a joke going over your head.

the reason the profits were supposedly poor on it is because the arcade version was quite easy, so one credit would last the whole game, meaning people weren't pumping coins in every two minutes like they would for, say, Time Crisis. Having said that, I'm not going to be picking this up despite being a fan of both Pokemon and Tekken
The £50 RRP is from Nintendo Store themselves but it's no surprise really, Nintendo Store normally charges typically high prices whereas other retailers sell the same product for half price or so.
Game w/ Amiibo Card £50 - store.nintendo.co.uk/gam…tml
Game w/Amiibo Card + Hori Controller £60 - store.nintendo.co.uk/gam…tml
So basically, just for £10 more a customer at Nintendo Store could get with the arcade controller. Weird pricing. lol
It's better to go with Amazon for the time being and when it drops the price will be updated automatically, plus the customer can use Amazon credit if he/she has any available to make it cheaper.
Amazon a couple days ago reduced my order of Zelda Wii U from £42.99 to £39.99 and now £39.85 so while not the cheapest still nice to see the system works as it should. I also noticed the other day that they had Star Fox Zero for £32 but Base and others have it for £29 so it'd only be useful for anyone with spare Amazon credit.
You are of course wrong. whether it's a good deal depends on if the members of the site think it offers value for money. if it's a terrible game, then £36.99 is not good value.
Cheers just treated myself to £30 giftcard
I wonder how many people actually pre-ordered for this price.
MAKE POKEMON BRITISH AGAIN
Nintendo need to wake up and realise Wii U is not a strong gaming console. They could have made huge amount of money releasing games on PS4/Xbox One.
Which is why they're killing off the Wii U either this or next year. Most people couldn't careless about it considering it's overpriced and not a whole lot to play on it, except for the fans.
If it was just one person then it's worth it. That's what this website is all about, helping people to save money. Even if it's just a minute amount.
I've pre-ordered it, but then I posted it.
The hardware aspect of the Nintendo business will be heavily dependent on the NX. Whatever that may turn out to be. I want a strong Nintendo in this industry, they strive to innovate and more often than not their core titles are of a high quality.
Steam, Sony and Microsoft would kill to have Nintendo IP on their systems. Nintendo just need to have hardware worth buying, a robust ecosystem within the console for things like online play (voice chat etc) and they could easily make a storming come back.
The Wii had a poor attach rate but it destroyed anything in terms of sales last generation. The industry is better off having a productive Nintendo making the types of games that only they can.
£36.99 is overpriced. No way would I pay that for a standard copy of a game.
The current price of my pre-order:
Free cashback + Amazon price difference refunds and leftover vouchers.
The NX.

Sure it was the best selling system of last-gen but was it actually a console gamers and Nintendo gamers liked? Maybe a few but not most. The Wii was a great dust collector.
My point is that if Nintendo play to their strengths then they can become a force once again. They are capable of innovating in ways that Sony and Microsoft wouldn't dream of.
It never was British. It was created in Japan.
Whoooosh
Feel free to explain.
I know what the "whoooosh" meant, which is why I said "feel free to explain".
Now you know (Y)

Are you calling me a **** ?
Lets keep the thread on topic shall we.

So very true. Nintendo arguably have the best roster of exclusives (which now includes Splatoon). For the very fact that they are interested in innovating and appealing to non-conventional demographics, they aren't direct rivals to Sony and Microsoft who are focused on the mass mainstream.
