Absolute bargain, 2 ordered!! Heat & Rep added, its not much cheaper than this for the battery pack!!

AMAZING deal. Amazing.

Can't thank you enough.

Hope this isn't a mis-price.

Excuse my ignorance guys but what can this thing do? I get that it straps to your chest and relays your heart rate to a receiver such as a watch etc but why is that useful? I am interested honest, I just cannot get my head round why you need/want that info when, I assume, you are training. Cheers.

well spotted, will rep if arrives ;-)

The visual display shows you your heart rate as you work out, also you can set the watch so that your heart rate is within certain paramaters (Hi and Low) and it then beeps an alarm when you exceed the set amounts. I have a different make but guess it does the same thing. I guess it could have another use; if you're baby-sitting an elderly relative and the footy's on you could strap the transmitter onto their chest and you sit downstairs watching the game without having to keep rushing out to check if they are still alive!

Good price - voted hot

Why is this expired?

Just for everyone's info, this chest strap is only any use if you plan to use it with an existing polar heart rate monitor, or plan to use it with compatible gym equipment. It will not provide you with any thing on it's own.

I have ordered 2 as replacements for my Polar F55al watch, as they become worn after a couple of years. The components included in this pack can be bought seperately, for example from here...

- polar.fitnessmegastore.co.uk/pol…htm (£4.99)
- polar.fitnessmegastore.co.uk/pol…htm (£10.99)
- polar.fitnessmegastore.co.uk/pol…htm (£21.99)

But as you can see, the price on Amazon is cheaper than buying the chest strap alone.

I can confirm it is fully compatible with Technogym equipment which my local Bannatynes gym use.

Am I right that most of these transmitters work on the same frequency (which is why the different makes can interfere with each other). If so then this should be OK for most HRMs ?

Umm, no. All those HR monitors will come with a strap anyway, as rawson rightly pointed out -

No point buying one and then a HR monitor really, although I prefer these ones to the fixed strap cheaper type.

All P O L A R HRMs, and most gym equipment support the item on offer here.

I left one in the basket last night and today when I wanted to pay for it it had already changed the price.
