Sample review:

"Excellent value and spec.
24 October 2014
Purchased to have in a bedroom for occasional use therefore the nineteen inch model was perfectly adequate and of course it comes with built in DVD player. The picture quality is very good out of the box and can be further 'tweeked' to your own preference within the settings menu.

The one thing that immediately impressed was the sound quality (and available volume) - especially since small flat screen tv's are usually renowned for their poor performance.
It was very easy to assemble the stand and set up the channel instal. It comes with a very well written user manual and a 'reasonable' remote control. I say that only because it lacks a bit of size and weight, but it's well laid out and easy to navigate around once you have got used to it. Some may find the lettering on the buttons a little difficult to read!
Connections for just about everything you might wish to connect to it - all well explained in the manual. The DVD player works well, it is quiet in operation and will also play MP3/ WMA/ MPEG4 music CD's. You can read from a usb stick to show saved files videos photos etc., and even more surprising you can if you wish record the tv program that you are viewing to a usb stick!

Only one slight negative (and it is probably just me be picky) but sometimes when you press the menu button to display it, there is sometimes a bit of a time lag - this usually happens if you have just come out of 'standby' so it may be that the processor is a little slow.
So if you are looking for a 19in led tv/dvd with good picture, sound and ease of use then I would say you for the price you can't go wrong.

And before you ask - it does not have an on/off switch. By pressing the remote control power button it goes into standby and the 'blue' led indicator changes to 'red'. Standby power is tiny."

Can you make the DVD player region free?

Can you make the DVD player region free?

I can't find that specific model on a quick search round Google but this seems to be the generic Polaroid region hack:

Press SETUP
Go to "Preferences"
Enter 1, 3, 7, 9
Change region using UP/DOWN
Press ENTER

If your local Asda has the TV on display, powered up and the remote handy it might be worth trying that method above to see if it works

They will never have the remote handy, why would they.

Anyone know if this comes with a separate psu brick or not? Looking for one that does as they also run off 12v

This is (or at least was) running on 12v,got one for our camper van in the summer, cant fault it. (sorry only fault is it's a bit quite so if you intend on using while driving I would suggest you do as we did and connect the audio in to the main speakers).

Does this have an analogue tuner? Would be using this in my son's bedroom feeding off Sky's RF output and would like it to pick up the Sky output as well as the Freeview stuff
