Which has been replaced by?

I bought the 32" yesterday for a bedroom. While it is not fantastic for the price I paid its more than adequate.

Lacks style, features and aged like hell.

Basically a 40'' tv for £199 without having to fight for it- unless the delivery driver is stroppy!!. If it suits you its a good deal.

Does this model also come with a broken arm?

Only in Belshaft

quality
ˈkwɒlɪti/Submit
noun
1.
the standard of something as measured against other things of a similar kind; the degree of excellence of something. e.g. Polaroid.

I don't understand why people behave like this for a small discount on a crappy tv:

I know. You've got a customer trying to steal the guys trainers, while a bloke in a tie is trying to nick his watch. Disgusting scenes.

A Chinese flat panel made by Asda with the name polaroid plastered on it via a licencing deal.

COLD - poor quality

A television equivalent to a council house.

All panels are typically sourced from the same companies; there is rarely a difference between a cheap TV screen and an expensive one. What differs is the electronics inside; many of the cheap ones cobble together various components with a goal of cutting costs rather than piecing together decent performance. The image may appear just as good at first glance, but it might scale poorly or show juddery rather than smooth movement. It might also have poor latency, which can negatively effect video games.

The price doesn't really tell the whole story, some cheap models are actually fairly good. Some, if not most, are poor compared to their well-branded counterparts. There's no way to tell how this will perform without looking at it in person so I'd recommend doing that before buying, or looking up some online feedback.

I was surprised to learn that Polaroid made televisions and was hesitant at first but having read the comments on the Asda site about a different model I went ahead.
Marks out of 10? I'd give it 11 oO

I'm sitting here trying to work out what your problem is? So what if people were queuing up for what you call a 'crappy tv'. They obviously are thinking very different to your thoughts. I recon your far sadder by actually taking pictures and posting them!!!

Heat given BTW!!!

I was thinking about this last night, Our friend works at Asda, And she said it was murder in our local with people pushing each other and all the other stuff.

Now when I work on site, I can't scratch my a#se without a permit to work, Or some other health and safety rule getting in the way, But it's perfectly ok for ASDA to arrange bare knuckle fights and crowd stampedes without any king of risk assessment, Cos we all know what happens at these things, So there is know way they have had one done, And if they did, I bet none of the general public there signed it.

It's much sadder if you thought I actually took those photos

Nothing wrong with queuing up, the problem is the aggression and indiscipline that accompanies these situations.

I agree. The British people are known for queuing properly and having better manners than Americans and it makes me sad that this 'American tradition' is creeping up the UK shores. ASDA is an American company owned by Walmart and they were the ones who provided the photos and videos we see on the news for publicity purposes. They want this to catch on. I hope it won't.

My 39mm hemarroids are more watchable

Not at all impressed with the pictures of members of the public at these mega sale events, nasty plebian behaviour, this is what the general public are being reduced to, very sad.

Its a good telly at a good price. scan scale pixels refresh rate black levels etc etc doesnt really mean anything to anyone that isnt an AV enthusiast. Buy one of these and watch telly, plug a pc into it, plug a console into it and your experience will be fine. As for the black friday stuff, well its just sensationalist propaganda, majority of people didnt go crazy in reality

Theses have been further to £179 in Leicester Oadby Asda!

HOT
Must be good enough for the price, gone out of stock already online, yet available at ASDA store in BSE-Suffolk

Well, I nutted a guy for trying to take the last tv even though he cued for hours while I jumped the cue. Guess who had the tv!!

oos

Just saw my friends one of these today.
Attractive telly, (nice and thin, stand does make it look abit like a big PC monitor but who cares, the polaroid logo is very small but actually looks nice and professional), picture is sharp and colours very bright (watched SDtv which was adequate, BBCHD was pretty sharp, im sure 1080P content would look very nice on it), plenty of connections, quite nice remote, sound is clear but lacks any bass. Hard to distinguish the audio modes. But all in all it seems an excellent TV.
