I'm guessing that it's a guarantee that this will not last for more than 5 years?

I'm not sure you get the choice.
Oled £2500 or this
Wow(shock)
So yes this will blow up after a year just like others have said, and i would not encourage anyone to buy it, but as we are still part of Europe at the moment, it is covered by the sale of goods act and gives you a 7 year warranty !
I purchased an LG tv from Tesco about 4 years ago it came with a standard 1 year warranty. It lasted 3 years and the screen began to get round white blobs in each corner.
Most people would have thought, well ive had my moneys worth...
Not me.
Phoned consumer advice who told me about the 7 year warranty thing.
I then phoned Tesco ready for an argument lol,
They instantly put me through to their insurance department who then sent me a cheque for 40% of the original price as the value obviously diminishes over time.
So even if you have something thats a few years old, telephone the SHOP where you purchased it, your contract is with them and not the manufacturer.
If you dont believe me, call consumer direct tomorrow.

I work in ASDA and can tell you this is a cracking TV! We only get 15 returns each week on this model, saying they've stopped working or have a fault

OK, where do we start...
"As we are part of Europe its covered by the sale of goods act"?
The sale of goods act was passed by a British court, so being in Europe has absolutely nothing to do with anything regarding that act.

Also, there is no such thing.
We now only have the "Consumer Rights Act 2015" which superceeded it, and in the real world, good luck everyone getting a penny back on anything over 2 years old unless it has a legitimate two year plus warranty.

For every 1 person who luckily wangles money back there will be another 99 who dont, as its not a right.
Didnt know Polaroid made TV’s does it print out an instant picture from the bottom that we can wave around to dry lol
