One of the few soundbars that will give worse sound than your TV.

Is that possible?!

There is no mention of the watts so it is probably only 20 ish.
Please don't buy it.
You will be disappointed.

Yet more utter rubbish being upvoted on here because its cheap!

Cold, colder than an cold thing at a cold party trying to pretend its cool....

Absolute rubbish!! Anyone who has a modern slim TV will benefit from one of these. I got one of these free as part of a promotion with a TV I brought and it is fantastic, especially compared to the crappy TV speakers. For the price this is absolutely burning hot, and for the normal privet of circa £50 I would still recommend over TV speakers. Ok its not the best but we'll over half the price of others. connects using a 3.5 headphone jack to TV (Bluetooth I'd for music from phone etc) and is easy enough to hide and with my TV it automatically turns on when TV is on (as long as sound levels are high enough)

Some people just hate a bargain. Unless it's Bang+Olufson.

Polaroid: another once respected technology brand now slapped on cheap tat to help move it off the shelves - Asda's shelves in this case.

30 watts 15x2 also next one up 40 watts £22 it is national

No there isn't.

Why does everyone moan that their ultra-slim TV has crap speakers, but not their phone/tablet/laptop? Its a trade-off for crying out loud! It is, what it is - use a CRT if you want better sound. Or buy something like this to compliment it.

30 watts?
WOW !
I can fart louder. oO

Yes there is. Reviews, original price, product code, larger picture etc.

Asda are having a nation wide toxic event clearing excess electrical and technology lines which are no longer active. ie old stock.

Although nation wide, the specific prices and items themselves will be unique to each store.

So, reduced tablets, ipods, TVs, microwaves, toasters, kettles, etc.

15W RMS per channel is perfectly sufficient to fill a typical room with sound.

Problem is, that "15W" is probably a lie.

Got one rotting in the shed totally rank

Agree, that 30w will be PMPO, a figure quoted that means absolute jack but impresses stupid people.

£50??? Phahahahahaahaasssaaaaaa

There's a reason why not only this is £17.50 but also how they can sell it at £17.50 and that is because it is utter tat!!!

I've got a very modern, very slim LG 4k TV and I'll put money on this doesn't sound as good as TV does!

Great price, thanks for sharing OP

Ok this sound-bar aint going to set your world alight but a couple of people who own one have said its good for what it is. Problem is people love to jump on the bandwagon and shout **** from the rooftops without 1st hand knowledge of the product. I very much doubt this is any worse then built in speakers and maybe ideal for a bedroom setup. Worth a shot and if it really is rubbish then just take it back. Not rocket science is it?

available in Leicester, asda fosse park ... bought one

What's wrong? your ASDA out of stock so you must make everyone think its a bad deal?

not great to be honest, but you can't complain for that price if you've an old or shiddy tv !

Bought one of these about a year ago for £30ish and was satisfied with it at that price. The sound quality was better than the speakers on the telly I had at the time but only just. Handy to have for the Bluetooth (for podcasts from a tablet or smartphone) and if you want to use your set-top box as a radio without turning the TV on.

The brand is obviously meaningless - this is exclusive to Asda. Whoever owns the Polariod brand after the company went bust is being paid for the right to stick it on cheap electrical goods.

Actually he may be right. I don't use mine much now because I have a newer TV whose speakers aren't completely terrible. It's an absolute bargain at this price but don't expect miracles.

Are they professional audiophiles? The TV's they own shop brand or quality? I'm not jumping on any bandwagon - its tat! It hasn't got a HDMI in, no Optical, no Coax input so that immediately sets alarm bells ringing! It connects via a 3.5mm jack and not even as a line in either but amplifies that input - that alone tells you how pee poor one of these is!

Oh and just because something is poor quality that does not give you the right to return it!

Does anybody know if either of the models they have on offer have an optical input?

Edit: just read post above mine, no optical input on cheaper model. Perhaps more expensive model does?

No, this is HotUKdeals! Not cheap tat offers, this site isn't about cheap rubbish but genuine deals!

And no this isn't a good price for what it is, just like a £4.99 leaks like a sieve tent from yesterday wasn't either
