Thats what i was hoping someone on here might be able to clarify before i take the bite. lol

I bought a 37" Polaroid (not 1080p model) from amazon a few months ago - it went back within 2 weeks! motion blur was really bad and colours just didnt look right after 2 weeks of playing with the settings. On the +ve side the sound was really good.

Now have a 37" LG which is fantastic and cost the same!!

There's been a few threads for Polaroid TV's in the last few months. All of them say that the quality of the TV's are dreadfull to say the least. They're not the company they once were, unfortunately and I wouldn't touch the products they're producing just now.

So, is it 1080p or not? I'm very tempted to trade in my 32" 1080p relisys for this but the other thread raised doubts that it was full HD.

Probably co-incidence that today Reuters carry the story that "Consumer electronics company Polaroid Holding Co said it has agreed to sell its assets including the Polaroid name and brand to a private equity firm based in Luxembourg."

There was a newspaper story over the last couple of weekends of some enthusiasts trying to keeping the Polaroid FILM format alive too (as it had ceased production and stocks are running down).

ie I think the moral is "Polaroid" brand is just a name/word now.
