No point comparing notes unless you reveal the age of the listener, hearing of a sixteen year old is completely different to a sixty year old...

Oh I know what it is. It’s designed for use with Samsung All in One systems though. Like I mentioned in a comment above, you can’t change these speakers. The ohm output on them is usually 3 ohms. Most separate speakers have an impedance of between 4 and 8 ohm. These in particular will have 6 ohms. Your system will lack the power to drive them. They will sound really, really quiet. That’s if they don’t damage your entire system/these speakers on top of that.

If you want the freedom to change speakers, you have to use a dedicated AV receiver. Not the Samsung/Sony/Panasonic/LG All in One systems. (edited)

I was initially interested but they cannot be bi-amped unlike my current speakers.

How do new speakers at this price point compare with vintage B&W dm220? I’m unsure two of these in stereo (no home cinema) would be an upgrade. Chrer

Hard to say, depends a bit on what amplifier you are running it through. I've got some b&w601's, about 15years or more old, I'd struggle to beat them now. Still crisp .....

Would they be any good on a lg LHB645N 5.1 surround sound. If I replaced the 2 front speakers with these. Then used the tall boy speakers at the rear. I haven't a clue about the sound. Hopefully you guys that know your stuff could help me out here. (edited)

You need a proper amp to run these so likely not

That looks like a good price. I've had the older R50 with similar specs for about 15 years in my holiday setup on a Yamaha 5.1 amp. They are pretty decent, so assuming these are as good or better that's a great value.

I have these in my mancave on an atmos system with a projector. Sound great to me. For the price you can't beat them. (edited)

How do you have the speakers set up mate? Floorstanders at the front or back?. I have a projector set up with a couple of Polk XT90s.

For the money these are very very good and outperform a lot of other stuff out there. Very objective review...

    That's for a single speaker

So the now edited out link was to one speaker, but we think the original post is for a pair? . (edited)

Description says pair, why say singular?

It said speaker not speakers. B013LIN5W2 the Asin displays 1 speaker on other Amazon sites. There is also a review from a verified customer that states this.

Would these pair with my Polk soundbar?

    No. (edited)

Showing plus £7.99 for delivery. Is there a code for free delivery?

It's ashame it's 2-way rather than 3-way but at this price, I guess you can't have it all
  18. dobri39's avatar
Can you recommend an amplifier for them?
  19. Bigfootpete's avatar
That's a bargain, the drivers alone would cost more than that.
