i bought a polti around the £350 mark from Amazon and registered for the 10yr warranty. so far so good but only a year old thus far...

I have a Polti, and from Costco, seven years old now.
Thoroughly recommended.
Almost makes ironing pleasurable with it's continuous steam capability.
Just be careful to empty it before you put it away.
Else, just as I discovered after a "where's that brown sludge coming from?!" moment - you'll spend half a day descaling the boiler!!
