Crazy talk! This is madness! I was listening to them just the other day thinking how far ahead they were!

Stourbridge was my roots, I know better, PWEI were a total bunch of toss pots, however their once classed "disposable pop" was somewhat ahead of its time, and to his egotistic credit Clint Mansell has made a mint out of doing film scores now.

But out of the Neds...Poppies and The Stuffies, it was The Wonder Stuffs blatant wannabe The Waterboys that got my vote at the time for musical listening lol.

Ordered cheers
Been meaning to get some of their stuff for a while

ahhhh back in the days when all decent music came from Stourbridge

we've moved away now but I still love the place...

Yeah I was from that neck of the woods went to school in Kinver and if you didn't like the poppies you just wernt cool in my school

By request - England's finest!

I love these guys - voted HOT!

Grungsters :-D what planet you off

I loved the Stourbridge 3 in the 90s; with Neds being my fave...

*true fact* Clint Poppie used to date a girl mate of mine and we were all out at a Therapy? concert and his chewy fell out and stuck to my big Robert Smith stylee jumper and in my drunkered state I just said 'you b*****d' and gave him a school playground style kick in the shin, was proper funny..

i was about to make just that point. nobody has mentioned Mega City 4 amongst their reminisces, they were around at this time, & i could never decide which of the 4 i preferred - poppies, stuffies, ned's or carter.

EMF were pretty good too.

i'm trying to slim down my cd collection now, but with deals like this, it just gets bigger.

hot!

Mega's were a cut above PWEI and the Stuffies. I liked Carter and the Neds, but went and saw MC4 about a dozen times overall. Great blokes too. RIP Wiz.

Steve (off of the 90's)

If anyone is up for some Poppies, the Vile Evils will be playing in Wolves Little Civic next Friday night 27th Feb.

Not now James................

Yeah, sounds proper funny does that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Band, not surprised by so many negative comments though, when X-Factor winners regularly top the charts, you know the best bands wont win the popularity stakes.
