I think there's a mod rule that says they must leave (and condone) nasty, personal & unnecessary posts and delete any that show fun, humour or happiness.

so in this case, can't blame a mod for deleting... they're just following the rules

Excellent device for roasting coffee as well.

Hint : Popcorn maker = 1 x large saucepan + 1 x lid.

Yes, a tiny bit of oil.

But I have young kids and the popcorn makers that work like this one (and the one I have from Costco) and do it with a tiny bit of theatre are great for kids partys.

got one of these for my sister for Christmas, awesome thing, pops kernels in about 60 seconds, pretty awesome to see.

Best to buy some spray food oil then add some flavoring powder or ground up salt (like dust) to them.

I love popcorn, but found my popcorn maker makes the popcorn have firm bits, rather than light fluffy popcorn. anyone got any tips? If not, anyone wanna buy a popcorn maker? :-)

I had one of these, got used once, never used again, tried to sell it, got no offers even though only wanted 50p for it...ended up in a skip

I think pan, with coconut oil is the best way, from what I have read.

you can make popcorn in the microwave oven
just use a large pyrex glass bowl with a loose lid

I remember the first time I made popcorn on the hob I put far too many kernels in the pan. The lid was eventually pushed off and the popcorn flew everywhere. So I ran outside with the pan and placed it on the grass, resulting in a circle of burnt grass. What a disaster it was..

I put the kernels into the microwave in a tub with a loose lid, makes really fluffy popcorn every time, and much cheaper.

Yes you are right of course ... been a long time since my kids were young and I'm getting miserable in my old age!
