One of the few reasons I would actually go into sainsburys.

Funnily enough we had these for our tea tonight and I would recommend them.

I still love the ikea ones though!

That & pretending to be Jamie Oliver's DAD to blag freebies.....

Freaky deaky, we had these for tea tonight too.

Kids love 'em and they make a nice change from the freebie gammon joints.

My kids love 'em too. Any idea how long they are to stay this price for?

If you like these Ikea do a meatball meal after 6 for £1

Pork AND Beef, in one ball! Colour me happy.

Other good 1/2 price things at Sainsburys at the moment are Medi Veg Pizza, and all of their Super Naturals ready meals.

No they were doing Adults 10 meatballs for £1 after 6pm, but I think it's finished now.

CAN'T WAIT TO TRY THESE, THANKS

Needs editing, this takes up a lot of room on the front page.

& they are doing share size coke (diet & zero) for 58p half price, bargain.

Now id like the know how muhc meat is in these? 45%???, salt??? rubbish???

Can recommend these !

It is at this price for a couple of weeks now (at least in my local Saynburys), and bogof for a long time before though ...

I have been looking for these for ages, Morrisons & Tesco's stopped selling them for some reason, I have to travel to ikea to get the proper beef ones, will give em a try though

I dont think they ever been at £1.77 without buy 1 get 1 offer ... so no need to buy as much as fridge fits

These make a very quick meal with a pasta sauce, put in extra peppers/onions/mushrooms or whatever you like and serve with pasta.
only need about 15mins to heat slowly in the sauce

Don't meatballs literally contain the whole of the mammal?

i prefer to get mine from sweden

While I can see this appealing to many, obviously due to a good price, does anyone else prefer to make their own too? I took a kilo of mince-meat last week and made them from scratch (adding only proper fresh ingredients and the like). I made 8 portions in a tomato sauce for about 70p a head. The best thing is knowing how much salt and preservatives are going in to them ... very little if none!

edit: Also, if you can microwave these things ... jebus, I don't think I want to try these out!

Well offer ends on Tuesday 22nd Jan and will be £1.77 a packet from 23 Jan with no buy one get one free or any other offer so maybe grab a few to tide you over as i'm sure it will back on offer in a few weeks - usually come with pretty good dates too - picked up a packet on tuesday with middle of feb date.

I bought some of these the other day, and really enjoyed them

They are always coming on and off of the half price offer.

I love them - they are a great cheap meal! Add a bit of pasta and tomato sauce (or a can of chopped tomatos) and you have yourself a quick cheap and easy meal!

These were on BOGOF for practically the whole of last year but it's full of fat and doesn't contain much meat.

They don't taste that nice from the micowave but it wasn't bad with sweet chilli sauce and I may get some in the near future to put a few in spagetti bolognese but wouldn't recommend eating much of it in a single day unless you want to surpass your dietary daily allowance in fat, salt etc.

Lol....back on the front page.

these are good value for money and are actually really nice, easy meal can be made with these, some pasta sauce or passata and chopped herbs and your favorite pasta.

I get the bigger packs fromCostco, and i agree with most of the previous posters, they are really nice

All of the processed meatballs I have looked at have been made from MSM/MRM (mechanically seperated/recovered meat) which is gross.

If these one's aren't made like that the they sound great and good value for money.

Pork (52%), Beef (21%), Water, Potato, Potato Flour, Onion, Iodized Salt, Potato Fibre, Dextrose, Sugar, Spices, Yeast Extract, Meat Bouillon Extract.

These are far far superior to the tinned meatballs, which are all mechanically recovered, these are made with proper meat, and i wouldn't go back to tinned one's again
