This is a great deal for all you pork lovers... HALF PRICE!!

The pies themselves contain just 12g of fat, meaning you can eat 5 a day (easily done) and still be under the maximum allowance of fat per day, which is 70g.

Seasoned, cured pork baked in pasty.
You don't just become Britain's favourite branded pork pie* overnight. At Pork Farms we've been baking for over 80 years. It's how we've mastered getting our pork pies to taste so good. So moreishly meaty. Our secret? Seasoned British pork, wrapped in our crisp, flavoursome pastry. And that's it. The magic is in the simplicity.*Based on Value Sales. Source of AC Nielson.

  • 100% British pork
  • Pork pies - seasoned pork baked in a hot water crust pastry
  • Ready to eat
Ingredients:Fortified Wheat Flour [Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin (B3), Thiamin (B1)], Pork (26%), Pork Lard, Water, Salt, Pork Gelatine, Potato Starch, Pork Fat, Egg, White Pepper, Yeast Extract, Sugar, Dextrose

You are welcome.

Good evening and thank you for your contribution to the site, all be it slightly embellished.

I believe Spam is a tinned meat product formed from cuts of chopped ham and pork, similar to the contents of a pork pie (which I've never heard of containing less than 10% fat) but nothing like the beef filled pasty you have chosen to use as photo to represent this offer.

It is less than 10 percent fat actually - check.out the stats.

I have changed the pic due to popular demand.

With kindest regards.

Thank you for updating the picture. The only pack of four pies I am able to see that match your offer are manufactured by "Pork Farms" assuming this is the product you have posted there is no mention of hand made pastry nor are they low fat in the description or nutritional information table.
31820857-WmxH8.jpg Each pie is 23.2% fat and actually 17% of the recommended daily intake, and 23% of recommended saturated fat.

Please should I have the wrong product I would be obliged if you could provide the correct information as me and the wife have been searching for a low fat alternative to the traditional pork pie for many a year. Alas with no avail until this very evening.

I think it's because the one on the deal is the cooked version. Obviously the ones in the packet need to be properly cooked and maybe then they will look similar..
Interesting terminology.....'Pork Breast'?

The ones you have posted are "ready to eat" as you yourself have said no one eats raw pork.

Ah thanks.
They aren't freshly made I'm afraid and are mini Pork pies made by Pork Farms
I'll fix the link, title and OP to reflect what that product is

12 g of fat per pie, which is low when compared to things like fish and chips and pate. I think the maximum fat allowed per adult is 70g per day. So basically, you'll be hitting the target if you eat 2 pies three times a day. Not to mention the other nutrition you'll be getting. So overall, not bad..

You can find it in FirstOfficers Tesco basket. I believe it's being hidden by the bullsh*te burgers (made from 100% dung possibly organic, but probably not) sadly the photo on the packet is not of the product inside.

Yes per 50g pie. So over 20% fat. Not the less than 10% you stated originally
They are £1 in Heron at the time probably in homebargains too. if you have one nearby go there after this deal

Tbh, the meat used in these pies probably does come from prime cuts for all over the pig eg. loin, leg, breast, shoulder. This is why they do not specify 100% fresh pork, because it's not..
Original Poster
Actually, just read the revised advert.. it is in fact 100% pure British pork, meaning prime cuts..and no grissle

I rest my case. The heat will now start to rise.

Thanks all...

Perhaps best just to copy and paste the information direct from the sellers website next time. As the mods have done for you now. Would save a lot of hassle trying to locate the deal you embellished (some may say fabricated) to gain higher heat.

Again thank you for your contribution but please stick to the facts next time to avoid confusion.

Thanks for your input and criticisms. I will take this on board for next time, if I ever decide to post a deal.

I think that personal opinions do count when it comes to deals, as we are all human after all. And we can't always believe what's on the label, as you eluded to earlier in the thread.

Just my two pence worth...

Once again, many thanks for your contribution to my thread.

With kindest regards.

100% British pork means flesh, skin, offal, without getting to the eyeballs and the ones without eyes etc.
100% vegetarian means it comes with stalks, seeds, weeds, leaves, roots, slugs and all.....
