Is that what happened before Christmas when Morrisons reduced their pork shoulder to around £2.50/kg?
I don't think it's fitting to pass comment on something that has already claimed so many lives and make it sound as though it's a good thing!
Pork shoulder was £2 per kilo at one point last year. I noticed that in December prices of pork products in all supermarkets went up and I think its due to swine flu in china and the reducing of import taxes in china on pork products means we are exporting more pork which increases the prices at home.

don't seem to be a problem for Aldi and Lidl who sell this at £2.50kg and that's the normal price not a sale price

Well tesco has raised the base price of their sausages, loin chops, belly slices, cooking bacon. Asda has raised the price if theirs also. Maybe aldi and lidl are more willing to absorb the rise in cost rather than pass it onto the customer.

Just informing people that this aint such a good deal if you can get it cheaper at a normal price, and isn't that what shoppers want for the store to absorb the price out of their end in multi millions of pounds profit and not the shopper out of their budgets. I know where ill be getting pork shoulder and to be honest £4.20kg is obsurd
