I think I might have to swing by as I'm in town anyway. Which end of cascades is it? Bet queues are a mile long with all the freshers (if they find out).

Good deal, they always do this when opening a new outlet, go for the chicken (3 types) which is usually £3. My vouchers run out tomorrow, any 6" + medium drink (free refills) £1.20 :viking:

Would that be free to Manchester?:whistling:

this certainly is a step up for pompey - almost nouvelle cuisine for the city.

Can't see it catching on with macdonalds, burger king, kfc and the local chippy being the food of choice but hey, it gives the kids a hot meat meal for at least one Sunday - (if you have the meatball special) :giggle: :whistling:

yours... S Milligan.

I'm guessing you missed the subway in guildhall walk, nr Portsmouth/Southsea trains station on commercial rd, other end of commercial rd nr argos, over eastney, the milton one, over north end, etc?

whats wrong with your keyboard? :whistling:

I'm pretty sure the one in cascades is replacing the one near argos. As all the shops in that area are getting a forced sale notice from the council so they can knock them down and build prettier buildings to fit in with Portsmouth's new "chic" appearance, they knocked down a load of flats in portsea and are building a silly amount of new housing blocks along with a few high rise towers for flats.

Hardly a hot uk deal unless you live in Portsmouth. My corner shop is selling out of date crisps for 5p.

These Subs are in date, and taste a lot better than your 5p Walkers :whistling:

Haha! Awesome, moved to Portsmouth Uni yesturday, student prices for nice food. Great, voted hot.

I don't think that's a keyboard problem. Looks more like 'user error' to me. The original deal description appeared in my RSS reader and took me about three attempts to understand what it was talking about. Could have easily been sandwiches or speakers, what with no mention of the brand/store involved.

LOL!
You probably guessed I'm from Southampton bellj! - actually I'm in Pompey tomorrow and may well be tempted - good post - and BTW where are those 5p crisps LDD? - don't keep the post to yourself - sounds like a bargain!

Calling all the fat hoes in Pompey! Get down there an stuff yer faces!:O

On the subject of Subway, my local branch does these money off vouchers printed on the back of the receipts.

Basically you pay the full price one day then receive a voucher on the reverse of your receipt to be used on your next visit within 7 days. However upon using the vouchers on your next visit they always refuse to give you another receipt forcing you to pay the full whack the next time.

Are they allowed to withhold the receipt like this? It's not as if £4.30 for a buttie is exactly cheap is it!

indeed there are plenty of subways in portsmouth

near argos/hmv near err where co-op was and there's also the one near the union, and the registry pub

i guess business is going well for them eh

Taksim, yea the one near union stopped doing those i believe, and if you say anything you just speak to someone who will feed you a load of ****...typical uk:)

I believe you are legally entitled to a receipt when you buy any product - can be hand written instead of a normal one though.

I don't get why Portsmouth has so many Subways (I was at Uni there). Eastleigh doesn't even have one!

I've boycotted all subway stores, as they've started selling halal... Which I consider unnecasarily cruel.

Damn..£2 for a foot of sandwich unfortunately I would have to spend 3 times the saving on petrol alone to get there

You best boycott McD's too for the same reasons if WikiPedia is telling the truth:

"McDonald's is intending to offer Halal meals in the United Kingdom with two of its franchises currently on trial, offering this service. After success in Australia where sales doubled as a result of McDonald's changing a restaurant to cater of the needs of Muslims. All McDonald's Restaurants in Singapore and Malaysia is Halal certified."

Voting cold as this offer is not open to all

HenvY

have you ever eaten there?

Er, yes - once.

I went to uni in portsmouth, and even then there were like 5 subways there then! lol, not another one, surely!?!

Unnecessarily Cruel?
I dont think blessing the animal before cutting its throat is cruel, i would consider electricuting the animal and then leaving it hanging, like they do in most slaughter houses cruel. If you did your research you would know that the animals are more relaxed when they are killed in the halal way.

Subways are Ace by the way!

yummy

Yes Doc, the good ole british way of bludgeoning the poor animal to death with a sledge hammer used up to the 1970's was much more humane that those savage muslims who've been killing their animals the same humane way for centuries. lol

This is definitely on - it's in gallery above dot perkins at £1 per 6" but you'd have to be really desperate to save a few pence to sit in the queue outside - at half 12 it was all way downstairs!

Better off going to Megabyte in guildhall walk.. footlong for £1.20 :P
