This type of gas cooker is banned in parts of Australia apparently the blow up ALOT

Campingaz ones are usually only a tenner, got much of a saving for an none brand...

So you just light it what I meant was it needs gas not electric plug how to put gas

Paid about the same as this from CPC a couple of years ago and use it regularly for fishing. It's excellent!

My thoughts exactly!

I have 2 tucked away for emergencies only, i thought they were great until my mate got his Trangia out. I spent out on a Trangia copy and gas burner conversion, absolutely wipes the floor with these. If however you go away once or twice a year buy one!

That article says some stoves were banned in Australia because they didn't comply with Australian standards. It doesn't mean these stoves are inherently unsafe. If this one complies with the relevant standards, I don't see why there should be a problem. I have a similar one and the butane cartridges come out very cold - not hot at all, which seems to be the problem with the ones in the article.

If you read the Amazon.co.uk reviews on some of these stoves,the campingaz+yellowstone for example have reviews of these blowing up..Most of these would be coming from one or two factory's in China with different branding applied...
