This is not very portable. I took mine three miles out into the countryside and it would not work. I found the best result were within 1.3m of a power supply outlet.
Nice to see the Chinese manufacturing onslaught continues with another well-made product by the Ningbo Tianchuang Electric Appliance Co., Ltd.
thanku i needed 1 of them....

Don't worry, we all own something that was made in China.(_;)
"circulates warm air in an efficient and effective manner"

if the intended goal of a product is to produce heat, how can it not do that in an efficient manner? even the most inefficient heaters are 99.999999% efficient. energy loss through sound is negligible.
Same one as Argos but £9.99 atm there

ah, but what about vibration???
These things are so loud! The fan rattles and it only comes on for about 45seconds before it overheats and then switches itself off again for a minute or so. It sounds kike a bargain but dont bother with this, pay the extra and get a better one
HEY DUDES, THought i would contribute a bit more, have been busy..

so, bassically.. BUY THIS. I bought one a year ago and have used it almost constantly and it still hasnt broke..

seriously.. amazing for the price, heats up very fast...

only disadvantage is noise.. obviously an oil radiator is better..

but for 7 quid?!

Take it you haven't seen the leccy bill then yet?
don't worry about the electricity bill/safety... Spend 15p an hour and be cosy.

Worst case scenario.. death. if you burn to death in a fire, no need to worry about electricity bills. If you don't die in the fire... free heating in hospital.

So even in the worst case scenario, it's a win/win

Do you have shares in a power station by chance?

Electric is one of the most in-efficient ways to produce heat.

efficient source of heat?

My kids' bedroom is quite cold at night, I might light a campfire next to his bed, should be safe.
This heater is rubbish I bought it couple of weeks ago and has stopped working already!! Do not buy

Its probably cheaper to leave your CH on than to run this heater.
I would seriously advise against buying one of these.
My housemate and I ran up a HUGE bill over a month using 2 of these in the evenings instead of using the GCH. Our electric supplier even came out to check our meter wasn't broken as it was so ridiculous.

I wouldn't want to leave one of these unattended overnight. We've gone through three heaters that look very similar to these at work in the past few weeks, the first one fell to bits on start up and smoke started puthering out. the second the mains socket got so hot we couldn't pull the plug out with bare hands, and the third one was delivered with a plug that had obviously been full of water at some point as it was all brown inside.

Oil is best. It actually radiates alot of the heat, much nicer. Doesnt cause a draught, doesnt make any noise, arguably safer, doesnt get clogged with dust and wont produce that odd smell all fan heaters do.

ah, but what about vibration???

the kinetic energy either results in friction which produces heat, or it results in sound, which is obviously negligible.
Thanks will take a look
