Portsmouth blows away Chatham.

HMS Victory alone better than anything in Chatham.
HMS Warrior, Harbour Tour, Submarine museum and Mary Rose among other things.

Portsmouth takes two days to cover comprehensively, Chatham a few hours.

Also worth noting that using Tesco Clubcard you can get an adult ticket for £7 worth of points until beginning of June. This gives you unlimited returns for 12 months too. Pretty good if you’ve got points to spend.
Shame Portsmouth Dockyard deal doesn't include the Mary Rose

Truely amazed by that, I thought they were all under the same umbrella so to speak. I live a few hours away and would have considered this offer but I’m not paying extra to see one of the main attractions of going there

just bought it. Thanks OP.
You can get a family pass for £37.50 at this Link

as an aside, is it me or is there a disproportionate amount of deals posted by mods etc.. that are made highlighted deals on this site? May just be me tbf but I’d be interested for others views

Agree got a deal last year and that included admission to the Mary Rose. Have been 3 x times already and it is a good day out however for me the by far most interesting attraction is the Mary Rose but that is an extra £16 per adult ticket. However there is a special offer at the moment for up to 3 kids aged 15 and below to go free until 3rd June with a purchase of a full adult ticket. Under 5 are free.

When going I always take the Park and Ride. It stops in town and then carries on to the seafront next to Gunwharf quays discount shops, The train station, Spinnaker Tower and Portsmouth dockyard.

Great value, did this last month via a link on Picniq, we spent 3 days there as it takes that long to get round everything. Kids loved it and can't wait to go back

I had a Dockyard tkt a couple of years ago that DID include the Mary Rose.
What a shame that they've now decided to charge extra for it.
Still well worth a visit. - I think I went 4 times in the year that my tkt was valid and enjoyed it each time.

Film in Mary Rose will remind those of a certain age of the old girl being raised from the bed of the Solent all those years ago.

From memory you have to sign it so how good are you at forging a signature?

I don’t believe it is, we went yesterday and had to sign the pass we were given. Hope that helps.

That's a great deal to be honest as it includes 3 children, worth a post on it's own.

I bought a heavily discounted annual ticket in the middle of last year. I've been twice already and plan to go on another two occasions before the pass runs out, despite the two hour drive, and even then I don't expect to see everything, there's just so much of interest. I disagree that it's disappointing, although I've never been to the Chatham dockyard so I'm in no position to comment on that. My ticket did include the Mary Rose, I visited it on the last trip in February. I thought that the All Attractions Ticket means what it says, all attractions. Note, every time I enter I have to show ID to prevent somebody else using my pass, fair enough.
Voted hot, absolute bargain.

Not sure about that. Just had a look and Chatham have got 3 ships none of which I have heard of? I think Victory and Mary Rose are a bit more impressive.

You can see new aircraft carrier Queen Elizabeth and the harbour tour takes you around it. Really puzzled by your comment ???
I was there a couple of days ago and my ticket does include the Mary Rose, but I bought mine last year.
I almost couldn't believe it when I saw that new tickets don't. I think it's a massive mistake on their part.

I can understand it if the new price tickets are that much lower. It costs an absolute fortune to maintain the carcass and environment of the Mary Rose.

You sure? We had a pass a year or two ago (which we got during a half price sale for around £16 I believe?) and all parts of the museum were included.

Plus the brand spanking new £3.1 billion aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth you can sail around on the harbour tour at Portsmouth. His was truly a strange comment.
