This may / may not be worth a punt, the Title / Pic in the link is for the Plum Wooden Single Swing Set which is £89.99 - £125 elsewhere but the description is for the steel version, if the wooden version is delivered its a stonking price but you may get the steel version, still not bad for the price & I am sure with some haggling with Tesco CS, you could negotiate something....

It's also included in their Triple Clubcard Points Outdoor Toy Event HERE, the event has over 700 outdoor toys included & you'll receive Triple Clubcard points on any bought.

They did this last year. I got the wooden one
Fantastic, thanks for posting this. I've ordered one and even got free delivery because I have a Delivery Saver plan for groceries at the moment, making it £35 delivered. Great deal.
does anyone have one of these?

I'm doubting it would last many more than 3 scottish winters, even if treated.

We have had the double one for almost 6 years, starting to show signs of wear but has only been repainted twice in its lifetime and were in the Northeast of England so pretty pants weather here too!

ah, the north east is drier though; and we're right on the west coast. nothing lasts long outside.

thanks for the response though: it's probably as likley to last as a metal one.

It has decent reviews online, you can't really go wrong for 35 quid. I'd be happy if I managed 3 scottish winters from it.

Ordered one, arrives Sat. Only paid £1 after redeeming clubcard points and free delivery with delivery saver, that's my daughters future birthday present sorted

Got one last year on offer and it was the wooden one that came. Very sturdy!
OOS
We have one it's very sturdy. Cost me £70
Does anyone know if this has anchors to secure it to the ground to stop it rocking or does it not need them?
Received this this morning at 7am 😴
Unfortunately it's the metal version so will be going back

Just received the metal one.. 👎
Received the metal swing today!
Metal swing received too - so will be going back.
Courier called and advised he had the metal swings loaded on his van, he had another customer who rejected it so he the courtesy to gave me a call and see if I still wanted it. Complained to Tesco and awaiting a call back.

Is this the metal version that people have received? It looks a bit flimsy compared to the wooden version, plumplay.co.uk/sin…tml

Only £28.99 on Amazon so £35 is not a good deal if you decide to keep it! amazon.co.uk/Plu…0EW

Answer from Tesco; the incorrect image and description was uploaded to their website, the correct details should have been for the metal swing.

They are going to call me back on Monday to offer a resolution, which sounds more promising than just offering a refund. I hope they honour the original deal. I suggested the £100 wooden swing they're selling would be a suitable replacement
Metal one received too they will get back to me with solution in 48h
Metal one here too! Will hear from them on Monday.
Metal too!
Just been asked to return it and there giving me a £5 voucher compensation
Update: we've been given a full refund but told we can keep the metal swing. Happy with that!
I didn't hear back from Tesco so I rang them, they offered to refund me and keep the metal swing, but as I'd already rejected the metal swing upon delivery I'd be no better off in this case. I really just want the wooden swing for my daughter that I originally ordered.

They then offered a refund, plus an additional £35 to reorder the metal swing. I rejected this offer as the metal swing looks so inferior, I'm now waiting to hear back from their 'escalations' team. The woman I spoke to was very forceful and pretended that the line was breaking up whenever I said something that wasn't the same as her viewpoint.

Reading Tesco's T&C's they are contractually obliged to comply with the contract to provide a wooden swing. A wooden swing IS a product they sell under product code 215-9852. Any other item, such as the inferior metal swing, is simply not as the contract describes.
Same here. Refund issued and told to keep the metal swing.
We no longer sell this product.
