Possible Free £30 on O2 Pay & Go SIM (£10 Top-up Required)

1997
Found 6th Apr 2015
Just order an O2 Pay & Go sim through tcb/quidco to get £10 cash back on O2 free sim. After receiving the sim keep it for 2 weeks. O2 will then email you to activate the sim to receive £20 extra credit. Activate the sim by topping up £10 to make the balance £30 and wait for the time being to receive your £10 cashback from tcb/quidco. Tcb offering extra 1% which means another 10p on top.

Most of the times O2 transfer cash back quickly. Make sure your order tracked properly or do it manually to claim your cash back for a missing track.

Please note that initially O2 will offer you £10 bonus credit for activation. Just ignore it and wait for the next email which will tell you about £20 bonus credit. Using TCB/Quidco is not mandatory but a platform to get cash back.

Don't forget to opt in to the o2 offers or you won't be getting no email.

Make sure you select Big Talker, as it does not convert your top up. That way you can use your credit for anything.

Found a way to get £30 psn credit without using a bank card. What you do is top up the £25 psn so you will then have £4.90..... Then go to the google play store and spend at least £4.50... Then dial 4444 and get the lend us a pound....then go back to the google play store and get an instant refund on the apps to make the phone credit £5.90, then top up the psn wallet and you also have 90p to spend on google play store

Seeing is believing...what the back of my International SIM pack said in large text (received 25.01.17, so still works beginning of 2017):

Edit: Still relevant as of 30/11/17
The written offer is again not on the packaging but the bonus credit is confirmed as working.

With the changes that O2 have imposed, the previous summaries aren't that relevant any more, so here's an update...

1st, you need to request a £10 International SIM from here:
o2.co.uk/sho…go/
(Remember to check TCB for any other potential cash-back offers - Quidco are tracking less reliably but worth a go if you've already used TCB 3 times in a year)

You should get the SIM within a few days - top up as soon as you like and then send a text to 21500, with the word "FREE10".
If you top up by £10 (via debit card on 4444 or top-up card), you’ll either have to wait for O2 rewards or have to do some mucking about with Google Play store and O2’s “Lend us a Quid” service to get the full £20 out.
For a faster, smoother process, it’s best to call 4444 and top up by £11 (as it costs to send the necessary text).
Either way, you’ll have to wait for an hour or two (can be up to 48 hours) for the bonus credit to be added (dial *#10# to check).

£11 Top-up Method
Once you have the full £21 credit, go to your PSN account and select “add wallet funds”.
Click “use mobile”.
Select £20 and continue.
Enter your O2 mobile number and continue.
Wait for the message to your O2 phone and reply with “Y”.
£20 PSN credit for £11 and you also have 90p to spend.

£10 O2 Rewards Top-up Method (lengthy)
Top up by £10 via any method and then sign up for the free Rewards scheme by texting REWARD to 50202 after you top up.
Wait for the next quarter to roll over (January, April, July & October) and you'll get 5% bonus (with a little work)...
Go to the O2 Rewards site and log in with the SIM's phone number, they'll send you a passcode by text - enter that code and youll be in your account.
Once there, you have to "save" the bonus and then you can choose what you want to do with it (choose free credit and enter £0.50).
Fairly shortly, you should have a total of £20.50 on your SIM (dial *#10# to check) - follow the £11 method from here.

£10 Google Play Top-up Method (needs O2 SIM to be in an Android phone)
As the reply uses 10p of credit, you don’t have enough credit to get the full £20 into PSN.
Instead, select £15 and follow as per the £11 method.
To get the remaining £5 across, you need to find something on the Google Play store that costs around £4.50 (or 2 that total this), using mobile billing to pay for it.
Dial 4444 and use the “Lend us a Quid” service (option 6).
Go back to the Google Play store and get an instant refund on the app(s) to make the phone credit £5.90.
Then top up your PSN wallet by £5…
Some have been worried about the repercussions from not paying back “Lend us a Quid” but nobody has yet reported any action from O2’s part.

Tips:
PSN limits to the frequency that you can do this to 3 times a month and there is also a ceiling of £120 on your PSN wallet.
Cashback is limited to 3 times a year.
Once you've topped up your PSN wallet once it may not give you an option to switch to another mobile - use the desktop version of the PSN website or delete your cookies on your mobile browser.
You cannot get a 2nd refund for the same software on Google Play so you will have to find a different £4.50 app each time.
Credit cards won't work for top-ups - use a debit card.
Sometimes, a certain bank card will not work - try another or wait a few days to try again... If you still get no joy, you can get £10 top-ups from shops / banks but you may have to borrow a bank card (legally :p) to get exactly £11 on.
Keep the SIM in a drawer, along with the date you activated it - Carphone Warehouse give discounts on PAYG handsets if you've had a SIM for 6+ months.

Go to your Playstation account, buy £25 topup, pay with SMS. O2 credit turns into PSN credit.

I'm not bothered about Quidco or TCB are they a requirement for O2 to e-mail you later? It's unclear from the deal posting.

If I order a SIM directly from O2 are they likely to e-mail me?

Usually topcashback and quidco have nothing to do with the merchants. So you should still receive email from O2, but will only make a profit of £10.

I highly recommend topcashback and quidco! I have made way over £100 from them in less than 6 months! Every little helps!

great stuff, just ordered one

Use your pc, laptop or ipad/tab instead.

I think this credit can be used on the Google Play Store too!

Ordered a £10 sim.

It will work surely unless they change their policy, I have been receiving over the last 6 months!

There is a clause upon ordering that states:

Confirm you want your service to start as soon as you top up your sim … Confirm you want your service to start as soon as you top up your sim (you’ll still have 14 days to cancel, you’ll just pay for what you’ve used).

Does this mean the credit will automatically be used for a bundle?

Yes O2 will email you definitely after 2 weeks. Initially they will email you top up £10 to get £10 bonus credit. Just ignore it. wait for 2 weeks and you will receive the £20 bonus offer. Simple!

Tcb or quidco are not a requirement. It is only for making some cash back to heat the £30 absolutely free!

"Big Bundle" is one option. Select "Big talker" for the classic style PAYG tariff that does not expire monthly. It is only the bonus free O2 to O2 minutes, texts and data that expire, not the credit itself.

The data you should be able to use in a tablet. I am not sure about the particular micro/nano sim for ipad
or tablet that included in the offer. There is a £10 bonus credit though.
