Hi i was using the crowne plaza two nights for price of 1 deal from this site when i came across this offer. 23rd and 24th october at this hotel for 1 euro for 2 nights i checked with crowne plaza reservations by phone who told me that it was a mistake but that if that price appears of their website they must honour it which the lady did. so maybe other dates available at this price. apologies for no pics as im new to site

companies dont need to honour prices shown (its an invitation to treat not an offer) however most companies will to keep their customers happy.....well done on your bargain

Can't find this at all!!!
Have you a direct link to the 1 euro page?

Seems to be between 63 and 300 euros now or am I doing something wrong?

Follow the link in the deal to the page offering 2 nights for the price … Follow the link in the deal to the page offering 2 nights for the price of one at ICH hotels. Write in 'Venice' as the city, and the country as 'Italy'.Select a stay of exactly 2 days (16th - 18th February for example) and search. The Venice East-Quarto hotel is currently showing as a total price of 0.01 EurosThe terms and conditions seem to suggest that bookings, once accepted by the system, are final. However, I'd hold off before booking your flights until this has been 'discovered' and we find out whether the hotel honours it or not.

Thanks to "marble" for this ^^^^^^^^^^

Awesome deal ... got myself a nice weekend in February ... can't understand why this isn't massively hot (yet)!

I think you need to use ]this link to find the deal (perhaps a mod could update it if they agree).

This deal is still available - I just got a weekend in January, and there are dates still available.

Weekends in January seem to still be free (Fri to Sunday) and there are some from March onwards.

The hotel offer free shuttle service to and from Venice Marco Polo airport for reservations made through this website. Please provide flight details in advance.

Not sure, but I'll happily give them a Euro to save messing around (the porter's tip will end up more than the room costs!)

Incidentally, for everyone's peace of mind, here's a screengrab of the offer and the guarantees down the left hand side.

http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/9421/venicehotelreservation.jpg

PS Their guarantee states that the rate quoted is the rate that will be charged. And if they cannot honour this offer, they will arrange for you to stay in another comparable hotel in the vicinity and pay for your first night's accommodation.

Now, as the rooms normally go for about EU50 - EU80 per night, under the 2 for 1 offer they should be charging these prices.

By charging EU1, they are down around 50 - 80 Euros, but it will probably cost them a lot more to put you up somewhere else for a night - so the chances are it will be honoured.

When are you flying?

theres nothing to stop you booking - 2 nights - then 2 more nights - then 2 more nights

also "The hotel offer free shuttle service to and from Venice Marco Polo airport for reservations made through this website. Please provide flight details in advance". - THIS IS HOT

Please people if you book cheap flights - share the info afterwards

thanks.

Yes there is.

The special offer rates are only valid for two night stays. If you try to increase this, the price reverts to normal rates.

And, having checked about 50 combinations, you cannot run two stays "back to back" as there is either no availability or a higher rate is charged - invalidating the deal. It seems that you must hit a weekend to qualify for the deal too.

Well I managed to do it - Booked over a week, 2 nights at a time all back to back.
All at a price per 2 nights of 0.01 Euros.

Finally found a few dates that worked for me. Was thinking that I could probably book twice, different months and under the OH's name.

Oh shiiii....

I just looked back on the site at the rates they are now quoting for the same hotel at the same weekend that I've got for less than a Euro. As it's a King Suite, it would normally be EU159 per night = EU318 for the two nights - which cost me the princely sum of EU1 !!!!

Someone is going to get an ear bashing today, no doubt

90,00 € EUR STANDARD ROOM
103,00 € EUR 1 KING BED EXECUTIVE NONSMOKING
103,00 € EUR EXECUTIVE ROOM
159,00 € EUR KING SUITE NONSMOKING

I can see this ending in tears once people have booked cheap flights and then get the cancellation email from the hotel.

Not really. The website (owned by the hotel group) makes a big thing out of saying that it offers the lowest prices on the internet.

And the cost to Holiday Inn of offering the rooms is negligible - after all, it's only the cost of cleaning.

We've all received confirmations of booking, and credit cards have been charged on a non-refundable basis.

If the rooms suddenly become unavailable, they are committed to finding alternate rooms of a similar standard at their cost in the locality.

And being an American owned chain, I doubt they would risk the negative goodwill that would ensue if they try to cancel

Is this still available? Nice find!

any dates left? i can't seem to find any more dates..

I can't find any more dates either ... maybe they've fixed it

The deals can take some finding!

You are looking for a long weekend starting on a Friday and ending on a Sunday (i.e. 2 nights in total)

Any extra days either side, and the offer won't work. It took me about 20 minutes to find some free days, but the savings are well worth it

you might be lucky but I doubt you will get the rooms once they realise the prices the system has been charging. Confirmation emails get sent out automatically in most systems.

I certainly wouldnt be booking the flights on the back of an auto generated email.

Where did you get that from - Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn are part of the British InterContinental Hotels Group PLC - have been for years.

When are you flying?

flying in january....I booked 3 rooms for the same days...so will get 5 friends and go away for an italian night out (or in depending on the trains :p) so 3 rooms @ 0.01euro....saving over 600euros on their general price for the room

I'm so surprised this only got 23 heat - This is one the best ever threads on HUKD ---- Don't let this thread die - i've booked a few nights and want to find out whether or not they will honour the, other peoples experiences and the best flight prices ect ect ect

It only got a modest heat because of three things:

1. It was only available for a short period of time when most people were asleep
2. It required a fair amount of work digging around to find dates that worked
3. Many people are quite cynical and of the "it's too good to be true, and won't be honoured by the hotel group" brigade.

In fact, it's one of the best deals I've seen on here in a long time

Well a great big thanks to Yourself, Welsh Ham and Marble - with the screen shots and link I certainly didn't find it taxing -

Please let me know about the flights Ryanair fly to Venice but not to Marco Polo (so i assume its some distance) . BMI do fly there but unsure about the best time to book the flights with them.BA also go from about £45 pp each way . Also let other users know what facilities you were able to make use of if possible e.g. free airport shuttle.

Also I know I'm asking for loads but if anybody knows money saving tips whilst your actually there - or interesting things to do PLS PLS PLS post . It seems that a train station is very near - but the hotel is actually 14 miles from the centre.

If alot of this forums users are going - we may as well pool our knowledge and experiences to get the best possible value from this deal.

Oh yeah one final thing - i signed up for that priority club rewards option - i know this is really pushing it but does anyone know whether or the points get added or not.

Going by the photos, it seems the train station is directly opposite the hotel (hence im guessing, the sound proofed rooms?) I think personally I will have a wander round Venice on my 'middle' day, and have drinks in the hotel at the nights, unless ofcourse the train times are better than described in other reviews.
From what I can see Venice is basically a group of galleries and exhebitions (plus gondola rides :)) not really my thing but ill go just to say 'i've seen'.
Best flights Im finding are with BMI....opprox £75ish from upnorth (going via london) or £45ish from London. Im not sure though, but jet2 say they fly to VCE airport but there aren't any dates on the site...so wondering if their flights are yet to be announced?
I agree with the hints in general regarding the 'HUKD trip to venice' (:p) and perhaps a thread could be started for anything to do with it?

Cheapest flights that I could find from London Gatwick for my dates were easyjet and BA using skyscanner. Think there were some at around the same price from City airport too.

I really hope they honour the rooms - I really need a holiday!

Has anyone actually contacted the hotel to confirm their booking at all? I daren't!

My cheapest flights were BMI as mentioned above.....I really want to confirm the booking too...but I dont want to phone them just to check because that would give them the option to say no....I need to think of some reason to phone them to check something unrelated to the actual booking, but just to check the booking reference. Did have the Idea to call and ask if they put extras in room (champers/choc/flowers etc) but dont think they do so that would be a bit of a wasted call...anyone who has called though, I would like to know how you went on

I did check the booking on the website - and it's all still active. I should imagine they will notice the price when they actually come to process the payment.......
