Woke up this morning and switched on my Xbox to find my subscription had expired. I went to renew it and it offered 12 months for £39.99. I decided to just revert back to the Free membership and purchase it off Amazon for £30, but under the Spotlight header was an offer for 33% off a gold subscription, which made it £26.50. This does mean you enter an automatic renewal subscription which you would have to call up Microsoft if you want to cancel. I cant guarantee it will be there for long, but I imagine a lot of subscriptions end around Christmas time so might be worth a try.

I snapped this deal up this morning, as my live just ran out,
Very cheap price but the deal may already have been posted?
Good Price though...

Cheap.

Here is a copy of my subscription on my Live account. Looks like you can cancel it online so no need to phone Microsoft.

Marco - Cheers mate, I did try searching but unfortunately couldn't find it. Apologies if this deal has been posted before.

Cheers

i got this offer the other day as mine had ran out but one i had bought it the offer changed to 2 year xbl for £64. Dont forget to cancel automatic renewal you have to ring microsoft to do this as you can do it online anymore.

Its user specific what price the deal says on the dashboard.
If it's due for renewal soon it will be £26.50, if your live sub is due later on say six months, it will be £29.99.
I have been on live for 7 years now, ALWAYS used a prepaid code, no hassle and always get a good price!

Good post OP.

Should be hotter than this I would have thought ?!!

Cheers Morty,

After I purchased the 12 month for £26.50, the existing offer of 12 months for £29.99 then appeared. I'm tempted to do this as it works out at £56.50 for 2 years!

Thanks Wightmad.

As soon as I posted this is went very cold, so its gradually making itself hotter!

Herby - It never offered me the £26.50 deal until I reverted back to the Free subscription, it was only the £29.99 price.

It doesn't show for everyone, I think it's to do with the current subscription e.g. 3 months or 12 months.

It may be the deal now only appears once your current subscription has expired. I missed the original deal Dragon posted (thanks for the link and apologies for posting again), and was only offered the special offer renewal price of £29.99 on the dashboard before mine expired today.

When I logged in this morning a message popped up stating that my subscription has expired, and I could renew it for £39.99, or revert back to the Free "Silver" membership. I changed back to the Free membership, and it wasn't till then a new offer of 33% off (£26.50) appeared on the dashboard which I took up.

Siemo, sorry if it only shows up as £29.99 and that you voted cold, but if you were to convert back to Silver membership when it expires you may get the offer I and a few others had, but I don't know how long that offer will last.
