Post a parcel up to 2kg with Collect+ for just £3.99

As most of you probably know Royal Mail increased their parcel prices by a ridiculous amount a couple of weeks ago. A parcel measuring 50x30x30cm and weighing 2kg would cost you £8 to send second class.

Collect+ have now removed the option for posting small items in a jiffy bag and you can now post a box up to 2kg (size restrictions as above) for just £3.99 AND you get tracking.

2-5kg costs £4.99 and 5-10kg costs £6.99 (this would cost £13.35 and £19.65 respectively with Royal Mail)

This option and others have all been discussed at length in today's hottest deal, if people want to read more.

hot just so that folks know this exists
as they need to know about this as it makes royal mails parcel service look even worse

Umm I have had terrible experiences with collect +, so bad you would not believe them if I told you......

I have also had parcels go without a hitch...

What I will tell you which I found out when a parcel was lost for 12 weeks (yes 12 weeks) they scan the parcels as a whole batch, so if yours go missing you are screwed..

and also the pakistani bloke at my local drop off abuses and refuses to serve you until the shop is empty if you take in a parcel......

Terrible company, but cheap.... ala Ryanair

I am 50/50 with this company had quite a few go a stray! (_;) One with liquid in and in their T&C they will not cover so lost out on that one.. Customer service is terrible very poor... I dont use them unless I really have too ( I suppose you get what you pay for very cheap for larger/heavy parcels)

there is bad guys every where, i had bad experienced with many brit **** or other community people so its better don't show you cheap mentality here, this is about courier service not your opinion about shop keeper, but yes the service is terrible and tracking is just a waste if they lost the parcel, the main reason is the are Yodel.

collect plus is too slow

myhermes, 2 day service when you drop off at shop

''A parcel measuring 50x30x30cm and weighing 2kg would cost you £8 to send second class via Royal Mail''.........fair enough price for something weighing so much ........so for the price of three pints of beer you can send a packet anywhere in the UK weighing 2kg.....not that bad is it really.....and i think it has a better chance of getting to it's destination than some of the couriers i have seen and used b4.....

Always been quick with me, drop off Friday and delivered on the Saturday. Be careful though, dropped 2 parcels off Monday and one wasn't taken due to "poor packaging" (both packed the same) other delivered on the Weds, didn't tell me it hadn't gone. Customer service not good either, been great until this.

Too slow of a service.

This is to Aeschylus, why mention someone's race or ethnicity about a service you recieved .

we've used collect+ now for 3 months averaging 5 parcels a day. So far we've had one damaged parcel, claim was settled within 5 days unlike royal mails 30 days only to be sent a book of stamps for their loss of a £50 item. We've had a few "missing" items which were traced quickly to neighbours or "left in shed" . Also averaging 2/3 days delivery cant be bad. I've been recommending it to all in the post office queue.

5.20 royal mail any item more than 8cm depth even if no weight hardly . Collect + all the way website brill to use . Also phone numbers . Also 50 pound free insurance 20 with royal mail .ive had royal mail dump parcels at front door etc . Some just have a love affair with royal mail god knows why???!

One day too late, got stung £15 sending a radio back. Should have done my research.

Over the last year or so, I've sent 6500+ parcels via Royal Mail and courier.

94% go Royal Mail
6% go courier

1% of them are lost, 100% of those lost were Royal Mail.

was this some random pakistani man.

actually i dont think it matters that he was pakistani, a rude person is a rude person. so cant understand why you needed to point it out

Don't you still need a printer for collect plus? Worth noting if you do.

I like Collect+, used them loads. The one time I sent something over £100 value though (brand new PS3) I was scammed and when I needed the tracking number to tell Paypal, their tracking info was down. dont treat this as a slur on Collect+ tho, far better than PO, and I prefer to shop in the local shops which host Collect+, keeping the money in my local economy

She was merely saying that a person's nationality has no bearing on their personality. If anything it sounds like you're the one who's being a bit too emotional :).

What a load of rubbish trying to bring up an argument over someone mentioning a country that someone originates from.Im a brit quick tell the police ive been stereotyped. How do some people get by every day in life.No wonder why this countries *******.As for the deal cheers ill give them a go after the prices royalmail quoted me the other day, asked the lady behind the counter(hope thats not sexist)if for the price she was charging me,was she taking it in a taxi herself?

I've used collect+ in the past and they have been ok, however I've heard and read some really bad stories, that said there's bad in almost every company, Hermes, Yodel, City Link and Royal Mail have all been on Watchdog at some point due to poor deliveries.

However I feel I need to add that Royal Mail have really priced themselves out of the market now, their current price and parcel update is just there to make them money, I shift a fair bit on ebay and get boxes when i can from work but nothing that's 350x450x80mm thick!, (it's the 80mm which is the killer) if your parcel is any bigger than that then it's classed as a medium parcel and the price more than doubles.

I currently use two of my local post offices to spread out the volume of parcels and know the staff quite well, all the RM staff i've spoke to said it's unfair and greedy, they know that people send more now then they used to do what with ebay and the likes.

I use Hermes parcel drop standard now, it gives tracked confirmed delivery (Free) you can add signature delivery for a little extra (however ebay do not ask for signatures unless the item is over £150), all they ask for is "confirmation" if the item has been left in a porch or with a neighbour so if the buyer does try to pull a fast one by thinking they haven't signed for they will fail in making any claim.

Not bad?? Are you kidding. So gone are the days of sending presents of low value or you will double the price in postage alone. I say shop around. There loads of good deals out the for postage. If other companies can do it why can't the larges company in the uk????

thank you, i didnt know that!

Your very welcome

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

They are the worst carrier service ever, i have sent lots of parcels through their network and at least 1 in 20 goes missing in the national hub! taken home by staff they mean!

Plus it takes forever to claim, some items went missing for weeks and weeks so I refunded the customers and then it gets delivered so i wasn't able to claim AGAIN! i have also had parcels left out in the rain by the front door in busy streets, it's not worth the hassle there are plenty of other carriers out there than can deliver the next day for a £1 more.

Plus they don't issue VAT Invoices.

Please do not use this company i have warned you.

How many have you had personally go missing? Just out of interest

I concur.....hardcore racism or not at all......Idiots

In my experience, store to store is fast, store to house is awful, had items take 2 weeks to arrive and a week on average but store to store is a solid 2 day service.

He was explaining a specific experience he had, it's not racist to state facts.

We have a collection from Royal Mail daily, on the majority it's the British Asian collectors who are the friendliest and moan the least, while the white British whinge and grumble the most. "Stairs? You must be joking, I'm not walking up those". Does that make me racist? Nope, just specific experiences.

Quess royal mail workers slagging off the couriers . Don't believe all the u read .they get 65p every pick up drop off hardly going to risk there jobs with complaints just as many issues with royal mail . Parcels dropped at front door . Had recorded pushed through door with our me signed . Items lobbed into garden no card left .,please dont believe all you read . 20 pound compensation no on line tracking . Collect + free 50 pound insurance on line tracking so eBay buyers can't ripp sellers off saying ain't got . eBay use the on line service to check ..on normally post ebayers can get turned over so easy using royal mail on eBay items BEWARE

Fantastic offer especially u an eBayer. Thanks 4 that

I've used them for 2 years plus on ebay no problems at all now with post office employing ignorant horrible staff at my local I've decided to use collect+ more often 10 parcels per week thanks
