Potential to get £100 cashback on your home insurance

currently quidco exclusively are offering £50 cashback if you take out contents & buildings insurance via Halifax, who incidentally are also offering £50.

Look at bottom right of quidco page, it says

according to quidco you get both

"

Earn

£50

cashback

Protect your home with a new combined buildings and contents policy and get £50 cashback plus an additional £50 offer from Halifax. Conditions apply (Terms and conditions)"

Furthermore, you can pay monthly without any interest.

once you get a quote you can buy online or via telephone using the quotation number.

Just did my parents, quote came to £130, so if they get they get both cashbacks, it works out £30 for annual buildings and contents.

quidco tracked within minutes

In the event there's problems with quidco cashback, Halifax is guaranteed and £80 for us was cheaper than other places

also, I forgot to do this, found out later - when you click thru to halifax via quidco, sign into your Halifax account, if you have one, I noticed afterwards there is also extra 10% off Halifax customers. I didn't want to cancel and do it again, just incase things messed up.

worth a try if you're insurance is due

No chance of getting both

Tried this last year and the Halifax don't pay your quidco. So only do this if the insurance is the right policy for you and is the cheapest with just the £50 cashback, not £100. If for some miracle the quidco does sneak through then that's a bonus but it didn't for me.

Same with me. Halifax paid out the £50 but quidco failed as Halifax refused to pay them even though it tracked straight away.

Did this last year and both Quidco and Halifax paid out. Halifax was a deposit back into my account after a few months of the policy running. Quidco took a while but also paid out

I did this last year too and both paid out. Worth a try, I'd be doing the same again as its due in August but we are selling our house and the new one isn't ready till Feb.

I did it last year and both paid...due for renewal next month and I dont think I can use the same deal again

do they do a credit search for a quote?

Did this last year and got £50 from both. Definitely worth a go.

baby brain oO

If I'm renting a place does this insurance cover me?

can i get cashback on landlord home insurance ?

this worked for me a year ago. quidco and Halifax both paid out. You shouldn't have any concerns about conflicting promotions.

not too bad quote. but i don't like excess they imposing. £250 (content) & £150 (building)
no option of changing.

Your online quote is:

£36.82 NO THANKS

No argument over cash backs but wondering for what part of the world halifax has quoted £130 that includes both building & contents, wow

I did this. It worked from the Halifax £50. Qui doc has tracked or December.

Watch yourselves on this one!!... I did it last year through Quidco..(premium member) . only got £50 from Halifax (direct.) Quidco said claim was refused by Halifax for the Quidco cashback.

Did this last year and even the quidco cashback tracked, Halifax declined the cashback...

Good deal, but I just checked prices and Esure and Direct Line still worked out much cheaper for me after cashback etc.

bought anyway, was saving £55 per year over directline's quote.

Sounds like a great deal with £100 cashback!

I did this a few weeks back, quidco has tracked and should receive in December. received email saying I'll get £50 cash back from Halifax after 70 days. can even pay monthly at no extra cost.....with this deal and the £125 cash back for switching bank accounts, wonder what else I can squeeze out of them!!!!!!

WE THINK THERE'S A MISTAKE ON THE PAGE.

Please take another look at the questions highlighted below.
Unfortunately as you own a flat/maisonette we are unable to provide you with an online quotation for Buildings Insurance. For a tailored quote to best meet your needs please call us on 0800 085 7011. We're open Monday to Friday 8am - 8pm and Saturday 8am - 4pm.

Did this last November, got Halifax £50 in Feb & Quidco paid £50 last month.

Nice thanks

Nice one, mine is due for at the beginning of next month (previous best quote £135, this one is £150 but £100 cash back)

Cheapest quote for me with just the £50 cashback so I'm happy to take a chance...no excesses apart from usual £1000 subsidence and £50 contents that's common to all policies.

That's irrelevant (largely) - you can have 2 different ins policies going at the same time.

Or you can usually cancel ins policies for a pro rata refund minus handling charge. Phone to establish this.

Or if the cashback makes this a good deal for you, worth doing even if it means you lose a few months 'value' on the first policy.

They don't insure flats! Bizarre. My city is full of them.

Flats = Scouse or Mancunian chancers who will always put in a false insurance claim

I found their quotes far too expensive, our last one before we cancelled was over £700 and we live in an end terrace worth less than £100k

Heat added too. Thanks for the find.
