£85.37HSS Hire Deals
Not for everyone but if you are looking for a power flush and don't want to pay stupid prices then this is a good deal. I have just hired mine from Friday 31st October to Monday for £71.14 + vat
If you have a basic DIY knowledge you should be able to do this yourself.
Its not too hard to do it can just been time consuming.
Alot better than the BG and NP charges for them to do it.

OP - Did you buy the cleaning fluid from HSS or use your own?
Ye my system is clogged up in the boiler though so the magna clean will no do it on its own.
However I am putting one in after the flush as they are good
Its not the gas ur messing with only the water flow and return so you dont need any qualifications. Even NPower told me to hire and do it my self as thier prices are high
If not u could advertise on FB to provide a powerflush service locally to get ya money back lol
They are not a waste of money. Magna Clean is good, but if your system is heavily sludged up then a Magna clean wont always shift is. Magna clean is good if you have a decent flow and return. But if its really blocked or restricted then the water will just take the easiest route bypassing the blockage.
If you use the power flush with good chemicals then they are very good value for money.
I do agree with plumbers ripping you off though and just suggesting a power flush.
Anyone decent power flush should take a min of at least 4 hours for a small system.
A power flusher without magnets is a joke really. No reputable powerflusher would use one. On top of that you would want to be using a radiator vibrator on an sds drill to make sure you get all the sludge out. If the system really needs powerflushed there is no point doing a half assed job.
I have used this system before on my parents system and a friends....Restored their system fine. So not really a half arsed job. A magna Clean one is a better system am not doubting that but they can cost a few quid more.
This is £84 for 4 days then u could buy the magna clean to add on to the system for £85.
If you can find a magna clean one for a similar price let me know.
A Magnaclean is not a replacement for a power flush. Anyone who has neglected their system to the extent that it has stopped working they clearly need a power flush. In 10 years of doing this I have only encountered a handful of occasions flushing has been necessary. We only use flushers with magnets and always vibrated the rads at the same time.

Please read your boiler manual if you are getting a new one fitted it will state 'Failure to flush and add inhibitor to the system will invalidate the appliance warranty'.
If you understood what you are talking about you would realise the difference between flush and powerflush. No boiler manufacturer requires a power flush, the British Standard does not even require a powerflush. Manufacturers require the system to be cleaned to ensure no damage occurs to the boiler.
I never mentioned powerflush.also Manufacturers instructions overrule British Standards
