Anyone in the motorvehicle trade will know what this is, it's a tool I could not live without, it's perfect for even DIY users.

Where it says "This comes on it's own not the kit" it means this comes in a sealed bag not a plastic box, but it's brand new and complete with crocodile clips to go on the battery.

I have bought one from this company and they were a pleasure to deal with.

Snap on sell the same thing for £170!.

• Power Up Components
• Audio Tone
•Voltmeter
•12 - 24 Volt Range
• 20ft Jumper Lead Set
• Bad Ground Indicator
• Continuity Tester
• Short Circuit Indicator
• Relay and Component Tester

With the press of a switch you'll have an instant hot lead or ground lead. Use the probe tip and ground lead simultaneously to power up components right in your hand. Instantly check components for continuity as well as identify positive, negative and open circuits without re-polarizing hook-up clips. Locate shorts without wasting fuses. The 20ft lead will allow you to test bumper to bumper without jumper leads.

Audio tone indicates positive with a high pitched tone and negative by a low pitched tone. The audio feature can be disabled when testing relays! The Power Probe III has 2 cool white LED’S that flood the work area with bright light. The housing is sleek and feels great in your hand.

Could be handy for my dad's old MGB roadster lol every other day a bad ground seems to happen in that thing.

Short answer = No.

Long answer = Watch the video and please tell us of any multimeter can do all of the things this probe will do.

i have used power probe for years and swear by them, i still have a cheapie multimeter for occasional use but the usefullness and convenience of the power probe makes it almost useless,
multimeters are generally just for readings whereas the power probe can apply 12v where its needed and still give a reading as needed for example:-
power probe can be used for powering up relays / multimeter cant
power probe can be used to power duff circuits ie central locking power windows etc / multimeter cant

True however if you know how to use a multimeter correctly and you get single wire with a fuse then you can do everything this can do. I'm not saying this is not a good tool because it is and it will save time but you can do everything this can and more like reading how many amps are being pulled with a multimeter and a long wire with a fuse. My dad wouldn't know what's a good ground on a multimeter but this keeps it simple and the light is a really nice extra.
