Nah mate no need to apologize. My "diet control" is going well, only had two cans of Pepsi Max soda today and not had a single candy bar at all. Ice cream doesn't count as candy so we're good yeah?

Nope, it's like PS+ and XBL. Once you stop subbing, you lose access and would have to buy the games or re-sub.

Buying a game with a Stadia Pro discount = it's yours even if you let your membership end

Claiming a game with a Stadia Pro Membership = you can play it whilst you have the membership. If you let the membership end you'll lose access to the game until or unless you resubscribe or buy the game
Quite a few games this month. Get Packed and Little Nightmares look cool, looking forward to giving them a go.

It’s absolutely not, explain to me how the performance of The Division 2 (streamed over 38mb fibre) is significantly better than on both the PS4 (installed locally to an internal SSD) and also the Xbox One (likewise installed to an internal HDD). There is no comparison to be made, Google Stadia is head and shoulders above - I’m not biased to any one platform it’s just the way it is with this game.

Sadly by the sounds of things, your internet/wifi setup isn't good enough You could always try an ethernet connection for the chromecast if you are using one? If you are using the chrome browser, it can be hit and miss if your windows install is old and not in good condition. A reinstall only takes 30 minutes now thanks to SSD's and it's worth a fresh install every year or so to keep things ship shape I find.

If you are limited to wifi only, I can recommend a set of the BT whole home wifi mesh system (not the mini's), its a great bit of kit.

Games on a wired connection are unplayable , I turned the settings all the way down on zombie army 4 and was stuck at the first part as I couldn't move down the street yet on a wireless connection on the PS4 control was perfect on a stream , I thought it was my connection until I tried streaming control rather than playing it off the HDD. The idea is great but unfortunately for some people it's just not viable even with a decent connection. Unless you have some mega solution that changes this then unfortunately I'll think it's turd

Thanks , I'm totally not against this I'd love it work. I will try your recommendation and hopefully it improves 😁
Another good tip is that 5 GHz band is the WiFi connection you will want to be using. If you are using a standard router from your ISP, try logging into the admin page and see if you can make a separate SSID for the 2.4 GHz band and 5 GHz band. Then make sure both the Chromecast and controller are using the details from the 5 GHz band

Try Nest WiFi instead of the bt ones. It even has a setting to favour gaming traffic, Stadia in particular.
Been with this since day one.... mind boggling how well this works and the value I've had on the pro subscription already. If you have a 1440p monitor it's worth checking out how much better Stadia looks on Chrome now they implemented 1440 Streaming. This service will get better and better. Already talk of the next gen capbility with the ultimate aim to get to 8k 120FPS with no need for new hardware/console. Pair that with no DDoS or Mutliplayer cheating and takes peer to peer lag out of the mix... and they are on to a winner.
FYI I have managed to get Stadia working without a CC Ultra. It works on various phones (I have a pixel 3a) and works perfectly with a dualshock4 controller as long as you have a decent stable internet connection. Also, if you have a windows or Linux device plugged into a HDTV you can play Stadia as it just needs the chrome or chromium browser. Geforce now also works through a firestick with the dualshock 4 so if you have any steam, epic or Unisoft PC games you can play those on a TV too! Plenty of help on YouTube 🤟🏻
My only issue with stadia is the amount of money for the infustructure in your home to play it. May as well just use a console. For me stadia would be about playing my games out of the house but unfortunately connections aren't that great everywhere. Love the idea that one day this should be seemlessly easy.

XBL Does not take your games away when your sub runs out

For XB1 games it does.

What? I can play it on my pc, phone and TV, all of which I already own. You only need to buy a controller and chromecast ultra if you want to play on TV. I use a ps4 controller on my pc and an xbox controller on my phone.

Right now, with their free trials, you can literally pay nothing and enjoy stadia instantly using your existing 'infrastructure'.

Before the lock down I played Borderlands 3 at McDonald's with only the occasional latency spike. It was mostly perfect.
Yeah but I've tried it and xcloud out and about and xcloud ran smooth and it was free. Stadia doesn't offer anough decent games to pay a sub for

You know xcloud is still in beta, right? It won't be free forever. Eventually you'll likely either need a subscription (hopefully bundled into Gamepass Ultimate and retaining the current library of free games) or buy the games separate, just like Stadia.

These services can coexist, no need to write one off with BS excuses like infrastructure costs. Don't forget xcloud can only be used with an xbox controller so there's an expense if you don't already have one.

I use my 8bitdo sn30 pro plus with xcloud (I don't use it much but I do use in home streaming) I beleive it also works with ps4 controllers

Yes it won't be but the game library is far superior even in it's free state. You can also use xcloud with a PS4 or any Bluetooth controller so I think yours is a BS excuse. And it most certainly will come as some kind of bundle with game pass making it a way better option.

OK I stand corrected on the controller front. The app and website told me I needed an XB1 controller so that's what I use.

I can see you're of a particular mindset though so I'll leave you to it. Have fun
Tbh it said that for me but I tried the PS4 and it worked. I'm not here for an argument I've just tried both and think that the value isn't there YET for stadia although yeah that could easily change.
