3 months odd, well worth 50p of anyone's money though! Free if you use Google Rewards
bought it thanks
I used the trial for few months as the music started automatically when I was plugging the headphones and was stopping when I unplugged them, also I could skip songs by the notifications menu so didn't really need the full version but for 50p...
Stopped using it as I kept getting verification problems .
Excellent player.
I've used this for several years now without issue.

Do what?
Good deal though I'm waiting for MX player to come down!
I've been using this for a few years now and love it.

I did not believe it before I tried it (people said it did sound better), but the sound quality is actually better than other music players I have tried.

I'm sure MX Player is free on Google Play
Is this better than PlayerPro?
Been my music player for a few years now. Great in so many ways but a few things annoy me these days. Like to go back to the song list from the player screen you can't just tap back, you have to tap the song title (i.e. a specific strip of the display) to get back to the album/playlist. Also, the auto artwork finder thing has got quite a few album artworks wrong and I can't work out how to correct those ones without having to so them all manually. Finally I wish there was a built in lyrics plug-in that could display/hide the lyrics any time and scroll them automatically with the music.

I tried Black Player which addresses most of those problems but, crucially, the sound output quality for some reason just isn't as good.
Best music player on any mobile imo.
One of the best Apps out there. A steal for 10 bob.
It's a brilliant app but it's beyond irritating that they REFUSE TO ADD CHROMECAST SUPPORT for local streaming. It's not that they can't, they don't want to because they can only currently make it work with MP3. Why not just release that anyway, that will at least cater for most of the people using it. Pretty much every other music app has a cast button now.
What I don't like about this app is that I put all my music in folders and when it scans them in it can separate tracks from the folders, so I have many albums with only one song in. Not all folders have ID tags and for me there should be a simple option telling it not to separate songs from a folder.

That was what killed it for me - so irritating

Yeah the back button exits the app which is really a stupid design decision but after using it for nearly a year I have gotten used to tapping the song name bar to take me back to the album list.
I've been using this for some years now. Best music player I've ever used. The EQ is superb and even better is you can assign it to auto set the EQ based on connected equipment, which is great for the Bluetooth in my car which I prefer the EQ settings to be vastly different from my headphones. So many great tweaks!

I got it to work with ChromeCast Audio, incl multiple speakers, incl YouTube too.
From ChromeCast app, choose Cast Stream/Audio.
Go back to your YouTube or Poweramp app and sound is routed properly.

Pro version is about £5
I've had it a while but since updating to Marshmallow it not been as good. Probably not it's fault just doesn't play well. I had my MP3s on my SD card and now it doesn't like 3rd party software accessing it.
Good player and can't argue the price. Neutron player is also amazing. Especially for Bluetooth pairing in the car which Poweramp had issues with.

That option in the Chromecast app settings is only available on Android 4.4.2 and up because casting is hard baked into the OS after that. I'm on an older version of Android and I don't have that option. When it routes the audio using that method I wonder if it's routing the analogue signal from the headphone jack or the digital file itself (like when you use an in app cast button).

It would just be easier if Poweramp just put the button in. It not like it's the hardest thing on earth for one the most downloaded music apps! What are they doing with all those 50p's?!

yeah, the usability could do with some improvement.

it's particularly hard to use in the car, way too fiddly and easy to touch the wrong spot.
This sucks now. I used it for few years but now they don't allow you to edit meta data of the mp3 files. It's "read only" message comes up.

Total BS
Been using it for two years and for the life of me still can't get it to shuffle and repeat songs from ONE playlist continually. It seems to just move to the next playlist nobody what I do. Pain!

It's a glitch. You need to hover over the song and press delete. Once you do this an option will pop up and ask you to choose the location of the song and write access will be granted, allowing you to edit the metadata of the song. The song will not be deleted.
App hasn't been updated in 3 years! it's hard to recommend this over any stock player unless your phone is on Android 2.3
Tried this along many other trials of music players... I recommend goneMAD music player!
Cheers OP. Forgot to buy when the price last dropped.

Ditto, although I now get problems in general with Google Play since I moved to marshmallow, have you found a decent alternative

BlackPlayer is very good.
One of the best app's I own!

I started using it when google maps got rid of the individual volume control (which is now back), poweramp lets me set the pre-amp level lower than the phone volume so it doesn't overpower the nice lady telling me where to go.
I have it set so when I get into my car it launches on bluetooth detect with my radio and sets a 'car' preset on the equalizer.

Only issue I have had is since getting an LG G4 the audio sometimes stutters when the screen is off, I have upped the audio thread priority and the buffersize to see if this will solve it.

Yep, if you haven't tagged your mp3's correctly then use the folder view.
