Remember to flash the BIOS if you buy it, as it improves performance by around 11%. AMD got blindsided by Nvidia who released a limited quantity of EVGA 2060 KO at $299 to counter this, so AMD countered with a BIOS update increasng the clock speeds.

Released today. Some dodgy reviews though. Outperforms 2060 KO but most places saying software / driver problems making it a risky buy.

Cobbling together a last minute bios is a bit desperate, wonder what was sacrificed or if had been fully tested Are these cards dual bios as wouldn't want to flash if not?

Reviewers who took the cards apart, found these are basically aftermarket RX5700 cards with less RAM chips and exactly the same coolers. Even the PCBs are the same. AMD artificially bios locked them to separate them from the aftermarket RX5700 cards.

Great price though for a card that outperforms a RTX2060, I've been looking to upgrade my RX470 with a 2060, but over £300 seemed a bit steep for my setup so this might be a good option once driver issues are resolved.

I’m still rocking a rx470 too for 1080/60 gaming. Been sitting on the fence for about a year. I was considering the 2060, then waiting for this. Now I might just get a sub £200 1660 super and save the £60 to put towards Ampere later this year or if Ampere drops some of the RTX range in price maybe a 2060 super etc.

Yeah I traditionally spend £150 to £175 on my GPU, just something enough for 1080p@60fps; but prices the last few years have gone through the roof - so will probably up my budget by £100.

Doesn't outperform an RTX2060, they are basically dead equal overall.

It's not bad value though, for basically GTX1080 performance.
Isn't the 5700 (sometimes 5700xt) £300? Personally, I would go for that over this... I feel like this card should be in the £200 range.

However, I don't know if this is a good price for the card so haven't voted either way.

The 5700's were going for £255 during the recent ebay 20% off code. Unless you needed a card today, I'd wait a couple of weeks for another code and (hopefully) get a 5700 for about the same price as this.

Only if you are ok with AMD's stock cooler, which I tend to avoid for an after market cooler.

who cares if it is cobbling. much better price to performance because of competition. GPU bios flashing is pretty safe as it is an official BIOS. it gets a bad rep as most BIOS flashes are not official
