It’s hard to not bite at this price given the time limit on the discount code. But I still think I’d be better off in the long run by waiting for the aftermarket cards to come out.

Unless this thing can take an Artic Accelero

The Accelero works on the XT and the results are fantastic, likely better than any AIBs will be, I'm guessing it works for this too with 99% certainty. You could pick this up and an Accelero for less than the aftermarket's will launch at (this is 348 + accelero, the AIBs will be more, no doubt). You'll get better temps, and you'll get a cooler that will last for years, which automatically turns any ref card into an Aib beater.

XT is only 36 quid more though, definately worth it.

I’d rather air cool it tbh! The Accelero really is quite good.

R9 290 coolers also work well on these, same mounting bracket. You can get them for cheap on ebay.

Just sold my R9 290 with Artic Accelero few days ago for £50, damn.

I'm not sure but try looking at the Morpheus II cooler it's got good reviews when put on ref Vega cards.l think overclockers UK does a Morpheus II kit with the fans for about £60.
There are videos on YouTube for it.

If you've seen the reviews it's not simply the blower that's the issue but the buggy drivers(bugs that have lasted for years - so don't expect a quick fix) - youtube.com/wat…Ybw

Have to say, from personal experience, I found nvidia drivers rock solid on my RTX 2060 compared to buggy AMD and my Vega 56.

Any particular games that's been ruined by their drivers? I'm genuinely curious of real life experiences.

I have a Vega 56 and have no issues from drivers yet. Had it 5 months. I always do a clean uninstall when updating using the Amd clean unistall driver tool. Also clean out any old Nvidia stuff as that can cause a conflict.
Don't think the driver used in the video was the public one it was a beta version from what l have read.
I don't think hardware unboxed had any issues when they tested the card.

Why do people use the "I've never had any problems anecdote" - I'm not arguing with you it's a simple fact AMD drivers have bugs, bugs that have lasted for years. That's what the review points out and it's my experience as well.

I was just answering the question from my own real life experience.l have had no issues and you have that's fine.

There isn't a piece of software out there without bugs. You make it sound like that AMD singularly bad for this when that's simply not true.

I think you're beating a dead horse...but everyone's entitled to their opinion.
