sorted byIt was designed as a LAPTOP solution, yet sucks down insane amounts of power to deliver terrible 2023 performance. AMD promised massive efficiency gains with RDNA3- initially it was assumed the chiplet RDNA3 failed because the chiplet tech was new. But the 7600 is an old school normal die on a well established process. Yet it uses around the same power as the 5700 (RDNA1) for a very small performance bump, and loses significantly in power and performance to the similar die in RDNA2.
RDNA3 has horrible driver problems compared to RDNA2 as well. The only thing this waste of sand brings is AV1 encoding- you'll know if this matters to you. If it does not, give the 7600 a hard pass at any price.
I just don't know what AMD is doing this gen- their CPU side is doing gangbusters, but as for the GPU side we can only assume RDNA3 was a rotten stop-gap while the real engineering leap is being handled by the A-team for next year.
I'd rather get the 6600 for £180.
