I have had Aldi's equivalent of this tool for several years and have been amazed at how often it has been useful. I originally bought it to try to find a leak under my shower tray but I have also used it to find wiring above a ceiling, trace a blockage in a drain pipe, etc. Can save you taking things apart or cutting holes unnecessarily.
You can get cheaper devices which display onto your smartphone but this is the real deal and the flexible gooseneck makes it so much more useable.

Helped me discover where a leak was coming from underneath the water cylinder.
That’s used for about £35 whereas the OPs deal is new with a 3 year warranty I presume.
I would prefer one that links to the iPhone personally like the eBay listing if the picture quality is much much betyer
