Just popped into Lidl on my way home and seen this, seems a really good deal for a workbench like this. The height isnt adjustable but the top is for clamping or wider work area. Seems solid enough and really cant go wrong at the price, would have been rude not to get one.

There was plenty of stock and is on their website so nationwide.

Please be aware that the table top is manufactured from MDF. As long as you use the supplied plastic clamps they should last a while. If you try to clamp uneven products within them, it will damage to top plates. Hot for the price.

Got one which looks very much like this at Maplin £9.99 3 weeks back, added a cheap cable for 50 p as over £10 is free delivery
I hope this is not as *well made* as their metal shelving!
Bit of an odd question, but... I need to gloss some doors and need to do it outside really. Would this be any good to balance a door on for glossing?

Probably not, it looks a bit too narrow and might tip over. You could get two I suppose. May I ask the reason you have to paint them outside?

Perhaps better to stick with something like a wallpaper pasting table then. Young kids (one autistic), small house, lack of ventilation. Much easier to take the doors off and do it outside than to keep the kids pawprints off.

Have you tried water based paint? It's quite good now. Doesn't smell much, dries quickly, doesn't make much mess and it's much easier to clean the brushes afterwards.
