saw this while browsing for a tablet and sounds pretty good!

The MyGica 510B M3 is an Amlogic M3 based Smart TV box with 1GB RAM and support for XBMC Amlogic hardware video decoding. Tested working with BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, TVCatchup, Youtube. For a limited time we are including a free 8GB micro-SD card (as here) worth £7.99.

Note! There are few similar looking boxes available elsewhere. MyGica is the brandname for a factory (Geniatech) who make a lot of media players and Android boxes for other brands. Our 510B is the latest Geniatech/MyGica Smart TV box direct from the factory. Our version has an Amlogic M3 chipset (not the slower M1), 1GB RAM (not 512MB), and runs Android 4.0.3 ICS.

XBMC with Hardware Decoding XBMC for Android brings the world's best media interface to the Android operating system. Install it to gain access to a rich media interface with full movie thumbnail and movie sheet scraping, rich music management, and many online TV channels. XBMC is the future! Have it now! The Bluetimes Smart TV benefits from Amlogic hardware video decoding in XBMC.

Cortex A9 Amlogic 8726-M3 Chipset + Mali400 GPU The Amlogic 8726-M3 chipset is a considerable upgrade from previous players and allows smooth Flash web browsing, gaming, and video playback. The M3 chipset incorporates a Mali400 GPU, delivering great video format support and performance. NEON is supported for XBMC.

Multi-format HD Media Player Virtually all HD video and audio formats are supported for playback from the internal HDD, USB, SD, or the network. Key modern video+audio formats like MKV, MP4, M2TS,FLAC, MP3, WMA, AAC are all supported. Photos can be displayed in high quality on your TV.

1GB DDR3 RAM An ample 1GB RAM is fitted, enough to multi-task comfortably in Android. 2GB of internal flash memory is provided for App storage and storage capacity can be expanded in 32GB chunks by inexpensive micro-SD cards.

Google Play Store Google Play Store is pre-installed so you can easily download all your favourite Apps. BBC iPlayer, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, Angry Birds, Google Maps, Draw Something are all available in Play Store and work well (**some Apps require optional Airmouse / RF mouse). Apps not available in Play Store such as Sopcast for Android install from .apk.

Sopcast Sopcast for Android was released in early 2012. This player fully supports it and allows you to click Sop links in the internal browser and have them instantly start running full screen.

Full Android Ice Cream Sandwich The MyGica 510B (M3) offers a full installation of Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. Android 4.0.3 ICS runs quickly and is stable.

IR Remote The supplied IR remote allows you to operate the player in the conventional way, just like any other Media Player. Android itelf and most Apps, including XBMC, are fully navigable using the supplied remote.

Optional Wireless Keyboard and Mouse The MyGica 510B (M3) becomes more usable (and some Apps require) a mouse. You can buy an Airmouse (like the Wii remote) from us or you can use practically any wireless (RF) mouse/keyboard.

Internal Wi-Fi(n) + Wired Ethernet. Wi-Fi(n) is built into the box making it easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network for internet/streaming use, or to access networked media via a home network. The supplied Wi-Fi antenna guarantees a strong and fast Wi-Fi signal. Alternatively, you can connect to your home network using the 10/100 LAN port.

High Quality Hardware and Software MyGica is the Chinese brandname for Geniatech, who make the majority of Android boxes for western brands. The MyGica 510B (M3) benefits from several years experience in making Android Smart TV boxes and the software/hardware reflects this depth of knowledge.

The MyGica 510B (M3) is a powerful Android box with the ability to perform any home media task very capably. The chipset is compatible with hardware decoding and the XBMC Android builds.

Box contents: MyGica 510B (M3), PSU (UK 3-pin or Euro 2-pin depending on order destination), HDMI cable, remote, user manual.

Running android 2.3 gingerbread, no thanks it couldnt run right on a tablet let alone a TV. The OP device is a single core job and you can buy a stick with a dual core CPU that runs a Neon build of XBMC for £45 making this expensive.

Just Google android stick and im sure you will find them, they sell them on ebay. Ive gone for one of these below just after this post made me go on to Futeko Bluetimes M1 Smart TV (Damaged box) at £52.99 and £12.99 air mouse. This has 512mb of memory but the specs are pretty much the same it also has XBMC with Hardware Decoding XBMC for Android.

Fully featured network Media Player combined with Android 4 ICS. ARM Cortex A9 CPU with Mali400 GPU for great video format support+performance. Supports XBMC for Android with hardware video decoding. Built in Wi-Fi. 3xUSB ports. Full Play Store with iPlayer, Facebook, Twitter. etc.
I've got a single core (cyclone make) running 4.0.3 ICS and it runs no problem don't forget on these sort of devices your not using them like you would a phone that's why most of these are single core I do know the USB type but what's always got me about them is USB slot is on the back of TV so you will need an ellaberate set up of mirrors to bounce the signal of talking of remotes look for the cyclone nano it comes with a qwerty keyboard cos believe me you don't want to be messing around with an on screen keyboard
Thank you polly. http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Others/others-249.GIF
A similar box but much cheaper.

ebay.co.uk/itm…5e3

SD card is not included though..
Could you use this to display simple text messages on a TV?
sounds interesting. would be nice if you could stream tuners from a linux enigma2 satellite receiver - like you can on some multi tuner receivers (like vu+ duo) to ps3. because it does upnp and dlna it maybe possible to do it.
Got futeko bluetimes.
I do regret it.
Slow to respond to the remote.
Hate it
Anyone got this?
Plz give your feedback
Thinking of getting one
this or the mk808?
why not just hook ur phone upto you tv when u want to watch catchup tv?
can you stream through the browser?
mchu6am4

can you stream through the browser?

i looked at this 1 but it doesnt support 3D SBS
This futeko model is only good if you intend to use it for XBMC ( the best media centre software for those that don't know). This is because it has the amlogic chipset that supports hardware video decoding.

The dual core Rockchip 3066 models are available cheaper and would be significantly faster for running other android apps and internet browsing. But these will not run XBMC with harware decoding - which basically means XBMC plays videos so poorly as to be not worth having.
No iTunes for renting films and never will be. So an old laptop corrected to the computer input if my TV suffices for now as iTunes has some titles that are nowhere else.
I'm confused about these boxes... I'd be tempted to get one, but it needs to have built-in DLNA support, the ability to play back 1080p files, pass through DTS & DD (DTS-MA and DD-TrueHD if possible); hard to tell from the incomplete specs.
The list of features above days that it does support DD & DTS pass through
apart from the personal hatred against the seller, isnt the other one cheaper and the same? amazon.co.uk/Des…mr1

If only it was so easy. Sky have limited the devices Go works on for some reason so tablets etc, don't work and only some phones do.
the only negative i see about this is that for roughly the same price you can probably get a 7 inch tab that can do the same thing and has the tablet experience aswell

not voting either way
Has anyone seen this running XBMC? Are we talking Apple TV 2 functionality?
No ISO support. Boo.
Feature list here is good and just what I'd be after. But without anyone's personal experience with it I'm reluctant. Anyone got one of these running with XBMC? Whould be great for the bedroom. Agree would be perfect if could do Sky Go, but can't see anything anything but windows/xbox running sky go reliably for the foreseeable future!

A shame they also only come with 10/100 NICs, anyone managed to have a 10gb 1080p mkv running over network on this?

No - its not the same.
The chipset in it ( AllwinnerA10 ) does not support XBMC with hardware video decoding. So basically its no good for XBMC.
Just ordered the Sumvision Cyclone Nano Slim Plus from eBuyer - ebuyer.com/388…lim to run XBMC. It has the same specs as the Pivos XIOS DS.
Are there any (aside from Xtreamer) media streamers that can playback 3D Blu Ray image files yet ?

this or the mk808?

I think the MK 808 would blow this product out of the water with the RK 3066 SoC. It also supports Flash Player 11.1 whereas the Amlogic chips are still stuck with Flash 10.2. Available from an Amazon market place UK based seller for £49.99Your text here

But no hardware XBMC, plus the rockchip is closed source.

Some hackers are trying to group together to buy 500 similar boxes, and get the source code at the same time.
indiegogo.com/ope…ome
Its about the same price as this and if successful will mean these devices get much better xbmc support, probably full linux support. Downside is will take a while to get your box and you might not get a box (but won't be charged) if the campaign fails.
