Only a couple of quid more than the Ebuyer ones and these are branded and more compact.

TP-Link's powerline adapter TL-PA211 takes advantage of your homes existing electric wires to transfer data while transferring traditional power. That means, with no additional wiring required, users can simply plug the TL-PA211 into existing power sockets and establish networking infrastructure in a flash. With high speed data transfer rates, you can enjoy video streaming, online gaming, VoIP or any other high bandwidth intensive tasks all at the same time.

It connects two pieces of network equipment without running a network cable.

For example, my plans is to use four of these.

1) Hall. Connects to ADSL router
2) Living room: Connects to Desktop PC
3) Living room: Connects to Blu-ray player
4) Bedroom: Connects to internet TV.

any good to conect sky anytime + to broadband

bought this one over their own brand, for £2 more it is no brainer!

If you mean a double wall socket - why not?

If you mean some kind of adaptor/extension - they have to be plugged straight into the wall socket otherwise they don't work.

You can plug them into an extension socket, but there's a chance they might not work (or they'll run at slower speeds). I have 3 of these plugs at home and 2 of them are plugged to an extension, and they work perfectly.

I think Supergills was enquiring about the physical size. The Ebuyer extra value ones are quite wide and physically obscure the other socket.
