Jees.....I've just bought one of these for £79 sheets.😡

think over a year ago I bought 2 x 18v 2ah genuine dewalt ones for £50 on eBay. saying that to let you know what I think you can expect price wise. ITS have them for £24.99 each. cheapest I've seen. see below. EDIT- The batteries form ITS dont include VAT, so theyre £29.99 including VAT.

Just brought some 4ah ones on ebay 2 for 80 genuine. Would like a couple smaller ones though If you know of anywhere decent?

what size batteries are you looking for?

Cracking driver.

A truly marvelous drill at a cracking price.

I really want 1 for this price but the link doesn’t work !!!!

Had to sell my car to buy one.

Really? Lol.

Bought 2 for future use. I'm sure after 1 thousand years this will be antique and I can sell for millions.

This is the actual up to date version of the kit that is both in stock and reasonably priced, tho personally i'd wait for an ebay discount day to get some money off

DeWalt DCS380n xr 18v reciprocating saw (body only) £100 @ Powertoolmate
As title. Cheapest I could find it by at least £11.50. Free delivery Reviews here Think the same supplier has the 5 AmpHr battery for £53 too

Fyi, there are 2 on Amazon for less than £88 if anyone wants them. Gutted! They were 150 the other day

I have this - bought it a couple of weeks ago as part of my current fad (although to be fair I have used every one of the tools several times now). The reciprocating saw is brilliant (and like most powertools, dangerous if you don't use it properly). It's very powerful, and you could easily break your wrist if it binds so be very careful. You might also find yourself with tingling in your hands after using it on full whack (excited) As mentioned above, it's a battery killer - I have the 5ah batteries and it still eats those when doing anything intensive (recent example, cutting through some inch-thick ivy roots and also hacking a 3-4" tree stump to bits). It's a very versatile tool - so far I've used it to; * Cut up pallets for pallet-projects (with a wood/metal blade, it cuts through nails in pallets like a knife through butter) * Cut down a small tree (2-3" thick trunk) * Hacking various things in the garden * Breaking down an old broom handle so it would fit in the bin (my least exciting use but the one which led to my warning about binding above - almost pulled my arm off cutting that pole down). It seems that reciprocating saws use a standard blade (or at least DeWalt use a standard blade which is shared across many manufacturers) so you'd be hard-pressed to get the wrong blades. The bare units do not come with any blades so get yourself a multi-purpose pack off Amazon for about £12 - this will see you right for tackling most jobs. I've used the metal/wood and the wood blades for various tasks and they are very good for the price.

No blades, I'm afraid, just the bare tool. Pretty much any reciprocating saw blade will fit as they have a universal fitting. I personally tend to stick with Bosch blades as they nearly always do the job without fail. One of the great features of this saw, by the way, is you can can put the blade in four different angles - very useful if you need to work in awkward spaces.

Good to know, thanks. Do you know if it comes with any blades, and what size blades it takes? I've never had one of these reciprocating saws before

Got Powertool World to pricematch this a week or so ago. It's a very powerful saw that will cut through pretty much anything with the right blades. As has already been said it will eat through batteries quickly - and you really need some good anti-vibration gloves if you don't want your teeth shaken loose.

Watch out buying off these, ordered 2 rapid chargers the other day and sent 1 loose in a box, no dewalt box or instructions, emailed invoice states 2 sent, (mad) UPDATE, i phoned Powertoolmate on Monday morning to say they only sent 1, we will send one today for you, its now Friday and i rang again and they haven't even sent it, so iv now asked for a Paypal refund, first and last time ordering of these lot. (poo)

Thanks ordered last Friday and arrived today. Packaging is to be desired ... mine was in a box with some of that brown paper as a shield for bumps and thats it. The body looked a little 'dusty' but everything worked fine. Note that the battery took literally 20 minutes to charge to full as the charger chosen is a quick time charger ....

I'd say that the Erbauer is in a different category given its low end torque of 40Nm. Additionally it doesn't have the same build quality, reputation or cordless range that Makita does. That's judging by the comments in this thread: https://community.screwfix.com/threads/dewalt-vs-makita-vs-erbauer.121606/

How about the Erbauer for £69.99 on Screwfix? https://www.screwfix.com/p/erbauer-eri744com-18v-2-0ah-li-ion-cordless-combi-drill/9284t

Could you use a diamond blade on this?

As long as they are 18v they will work, but if they are only 1.5ah or 2.0ah, you might not get many cuts from each battery's charge.

will this just work with my drill batteries then or do they need a certain rating. I think mine are the smallest ones.

Great saw and great price - also never seen it this cheap. Second hand marker is dearer. Good spot OP.

Great saw, very handy.

If you already have batteries and charger you can get the bare tool for £99.95 from D&M, or £95.95 or even less from Planet Tools Probably plus post, don't know - D&M are 200 yards from me.

Yeah. Because Amazon marketplace sellers get stuffed for fees. They have to sell for more else they don't make a profit. Plain and simple.

Really want this however not sure when I’ll actually get £160 of use out of it. Paying for a decent impact driver for me has been worth every penny because it’s used on almost every DIY job. But not sure how often this would be used. Any ideas would be appreciated!! (I already have an orbital sander so wouldn’t use this in it’s place)

Dropped by another fiver :) edited original post. Hope it helps someone.

Mine arrived monday via UPS. No drama. Unfortunately the battery was missing. Rand up office, spoke to lady who put me on hold whilst she rung the depot which sent it out. 2 minutes later she apologised and i formed me they had sent the wrong unit (just minus battery) and informed me a battery had been despatched. Minutes later i got email with tracking info and battery arrived next day no issue. 1000% would use these again no bother.

thanks - good to know

Well mine came today no dramas, ordered Sunday, confirmed on Monday, arrived today. Everything was present. Deffo use this retailer again :)

Well actually, I didn't read through the comments until after I'd posted. Strange I have a search feature on this laptop too. I check prices before I vote, and I don't vote on things I haven't checked prices on.

Bought separate for 170 cheers man

Do you mean this? Deffo buy separately rather than a kit if you don't want the case, batteries and charger?! https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/milwaukee-18v-brushless-twin-pack-135nm-combi-drill-203nm-impact-driver-2x-5ah-batteries-33599-powertoolmate-2897833

I don't want the case I just want the drill and driver (battery's are optional as I have a few )

Is it not the case that even when the kits are on offer it's cheaper to buy separately? Especially if you don't buy the case. Could buy a bag like this instead of the case and fit a few tools in: https://www.powertoolmate.co.uk/Products/0040000a0003/EB%2FMILM18B

Good deal, voted hot, it's slightly cheaper than the best prices for buying separately (though if you do that you don't have to buy everything at once / just buy what you need and you can get the faster charger). If you don't buy the case it's cheaper to buy separately by £7.24 with the faster charger. Case £18.99 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Milwaukee-Fuel-Stackable-Hard-Carry-Case-Storage/332174517129?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 Combi £103.80 https://www.powertoolmate.co.uk/Products/004000060001/EB%2FMILM18FPD-0 Charger (rapid) £28.98 https://www.powertoolmate.co.uk/Products/004000060013/MILM12-18FC%2FE 5.0 Ah Battery £57.99 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00TPJMZ2I/?coliid=I1GZALUCHYL11W&colid=1L5TG7EG2G3K8&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Impact driver £79.99 https://www.powertoolmate.co.uk/Products/004000060002/EB%2FMILM18FID-0 Total £347.74 Total minus case £328.75

It's a great deal . I just wish they'd not give me the box or charger, and take off the 35.99

It is a good deal, but if you can stretch the extra £50 the increase in performance with this set is massive.
